Beautiful!!! Love the stained beams and doors against the white.
Your kitchen is beautiful. I love a good bargain too. I forgot all about shopping at the habitat store. Hmmm lol ideas
It all looks incredible.
I was trying to think how much that $1,000 kitchen make over would cost today, if you had contractors do it. considering back then, you were quoted 10,000. Materials, workmanship, etc.
Heck, even painting walls and staining the beams, door and trim work, in the "cat room", would have been a few thousand, at least.
You guys have done a great job.
Robbie you could always get a fitted cover for your classic couch. Unless you wanted to re upholster it
So cool Robbie I love all the cool stuff you got such great deals on.
It looks fantastic Robbie! Gary is such a talented person. Good job y’all!
Q. Did you have to clean up after the monkeys? We once lived in a house where the owner had had a monkey or two. I was little, but Mother was always finding another nasty thing that the monkey/s had done, and never said anything nice about the monkey/s.
Your house looks lovely.
IMO-Incredible feat in truly making your home your own artistic & fun place for everyone to enjoy! Good for you both !
You guys are AMAZING! What a gift, to be able to see so many possibilities and to have stuff in your inventory and start brainstorming creative ways to make it work together! You both need to write a book together. It's very inspiring to be shown how to live outside the box by using things in different ways, or repurposing them, or creating something new. You upcycle, recycle, uncycle and cross-cycle, but everything you've done has meaning and value and uniqueness. I'd love to have a book I could refer to! It's hard to rely on my snipping tool and Word for my Robbie and Gary highlights manual to remind me of things I want to do. Thank you so much! 🤩
How lovely ! Wow Gary did a fantastic job! Party room, for all occasions
In the 1970s in Florida, I almost a purchased a cougar for $600.00
Yes my mother had a Monkey she raised on Monroe street in Riverside . That’s wild we once were allowed to have exotic animals . ❤ that space is perfect for cats!
The doors look beautiful, im glad you stained them although i had said white.
You both are so lucky to have each other & the entire woodworking & cabinetry throughout the house is amazing. Gary did good!!
Y'all are amazing.
Nicely done, Gary and Robbie!👍
What a wisdom drop!👍
Robbie, love the outcome, from the brown doors to the Navajo white walls and ceilings. All of your remodeling looks terrific. Gary does fantastic finish work. The cabinets turned out excellent. My entire home is painted Navajo white (inside) and it’s the easiest color to do touch up painting. What a beautiful kitchen!!!✨🌵🐾✨🎅
Looks fantastic and I love those beams. Very jealous of that kitchen. You won't know yourselves after all of this time and the room can now be enjoyed.
Looks great!
Wow God blessed you with a wonderful handy man. I have a handy man. He like Gary figures out things I want. Made me a light box out of an old printer he bought at an auction. Love it.
It is a beautiful color door, The room feels cozy, warm ,welcome, love the coach and the colors. Great job guys❤
Your house wasn't Tippi Hedren's at one time was it??
Gary is such a handy dandy, wish I had one of him.
❤
Love your room. Enjoy!
Your house is beautiful
Gary is one of a kind. He's is awesome.
Wow, you both are so creative to be able to put all of that together! The kitchen looks terrific. Is that the same kitchen where you hang the hummingbird feeders from, in other videos?
Unbelievable, you guys make such a great team! The room looks beautiful, and your kitchen, wow!
Wow, what an amazing home, absolutely gorgeous !!
Looks amazing, i would look for some large area rugs, i found some blue indoor/outdoor carpet to cover our concrete floor and it really warmed up the room. Ive found cabinet doors at habitat they dont have to match the cabinets, it makes a statement. Great job!!
Our last home, my husband worked at a home improvement store and we got the display cabinets for $1500 and the delivery guys delivered them free for pizza and beer. Gary you remind me of my husband you are both so creative and we girls are lucky to have you.
A beautiful job.
I love your kitchen! Your husband is a treasure.
Robbie, the loft history is just so amazing! I wish I could have seen the lion! Wow! And up in the loft, what a view for the lion. Or imagine the neighbors finding a curious lion in their garage! I thought I had issues with a cat or dog from my neighbor, but a lion?! Wow. And I wonder if the lion enjoyed the parties or did he stay up in the loft watching all the people and maybe jump down for a treat (yikes!).
The cabnetry in the kitchen is lovely and I would never notice any tiny style change from ine side or orher because they are the same color and the handles are basically the same. Gary and you have really made good updates and in that big room with the fireplace, it is amazing! The way that you found great things just adds to the whole house. Thankyou for sharing! You give us folks on a budget some ideas and hope, although we might not have Gary's talents for construction!
I also enjoyed hearing about little things like putting the carpet tiles over the ceramic for that window seat ro make it feel warmer. I appreciate that! You see the big picture but you also see the details that matter too!
The door looks perfect and everything ties in very naturally. Plus I love all the work Gary did and better yet the cost savings you were able to have.
I just thought of something. That isn't the kitchen where you do the hummingbirds food . With little eating area and the tulle to corral the hummers if they get in.
Your new room looks fantastic and I amazed too at how Gary finished your kitchen. Well done, I’m jealous of your cabinet space. I also loved how you kept the lion den as it is, I can see how kids would enjoy that space. It’s quite an interesting feature, can’t imagine anyone else might have one. 🦁
It’s impressive how you both think outside of the box. The room looks bright and airy; and you’re right, the door looks good stained. The kitchen is amazing – you and Gary are so talented!
Thank you for the tour! Looking forward to the next project!
The brown looks good in the room and with the rest of the house. I think your house has a warmth that the "new" door matches and enhances. I definitely love how you two did your rooms creatively. Your kitchen looks great.
This is incredible, Gary is really handy. I love the story about the big cats (lions). Your kitchen looks fantastic. I can’t wait to see this room finished too. I’m sure it will be amazing too. ❤ it so far.
Your combined skills have saved you a ton of money! Your place looks great and you have such a fun story to tell about it! I can't imagine living with lions! That's crazy It's so fun to watch your videos. Someday I will do a video about my humble abode…my house was intended to be for missionaries. We have lots of plans, but just haven't gotten around to making the changes we want to make. Seeing your completed projects is really inspiring! BTW, I really love the cement planter Gary made you years ago. I showed my husband and said, "hint hint," a few dozen times, LOL. Your house WAS the party house, but now it's the PLANT house! ❤
Absolutely LOVE LOVE love your kitchen!! I want your range/vent hood too!!! I am a copper fanatic LOL! But the way you explained the absolute BARGAINS you were able to find – not exactly knowing where/what you were going to use them for just proves this: When you see a GREAT bargain at a great price that you KNOW you will be able to use for your home in some way in the future…buy it!!! The red lobster table tops where a great find as were the doors and those cabinets! THIS is the way to do a Remodel or a ReVamp people…but you just need to have patience and willingness to put the elbow grease into it..cutting the cabinets to make them "skinny" for that wall was a whole lot of work I am sure….but it looks great!!
I wouldn't of noticed that the cabinets didn't match if you didn't say anything about it! I love your kitchen, you are blessed that Gary can do all that! Great job! Love all those beams too! Interesting that whoever lived there before you had big cats! 😮
