  1. I wanted to find this helpful, but seeing the tree in the background there that is “volcano” mulched makes me question how much this guy actually knows about trees. For anyone who doesn’t know, volcano mulching is bad in the long term for trees. Rather, mulching should be done in a “doughnut” with no mulch around the base of the tree, and then extending out to the drip line.

  2. Thanks for the video! I have 2 camphor trees both planted in 2002. One is huge but the other is about 1/7 the size and thickness. How do I trim it to make it thicker, fuller?

  3. I was looking for a video to send my brother on how to care for his trees since I'm on the other side of the country. As an arborist this video is very well done.
