  1. Looked at several unboxings of the Meng McLaren. Can’t see a pre-painted body. Also, have Lou and Phil never been to a Buc-cees Country store? They invariably have around 50-60 petrol pumps per store, that’ll give you an idea of the size of the shop.

  2. Thanks, guys, for answering my questions, however I think there was a contradiction in the answers between 'Why do we assemble a part not needed till weeks or months into the build?', vs '"Attaching a part and later having to remove it." One answer was that "it's safer to attach the part, rather than to have to store with the risk of losing it, while at the same it gives a look of accomplishment to how the car is going to look." yet at the same time, using the '4-wheel at the same time' as an example,' would be a pain to do, i.e. individual spokes.' Aside from the wheels, (which I think was a bad example) we do have small subassemblies that will not be needed, and we need to keep them safe. "i.e. The Fire truck (which has a lot of subassemblies we need to keep safe) – the Steering wheel is given in around Pack 3 or 4, but not needed till Pack 7 or 8. ("I know I had that steering wheel right there; now where did it go?") Another example is the rear-view mirrors provided at the time the Main Cab is completed, yet the Instructions recommend not to attach them till the end of the build! (where did I put those mirrors again?) If they believe it's better to attach them at the end of the build, then give at the end. But I do want to thank you both for answering the questions, it did clear things up. And Wayne, you were spot on to what I meant by 'discontinue a model' You nailed it! I want to build the Shelby Cobra again; it's been out for (3-4 years?) will it ever be discontinued? Thanks, Wayne, for making that distinction! (If it is discontinued and comes back – I hope it's still in the color Blue! 😅)
