Front Yard Garden

HOUSE TOUR | An Eclectic Dallas Home with Beautiful Sculptural Gardens

Renowned landscape architect Robert Bellamy gives us a tour of his eccentric home and gardens in Dallas, Texas.

For more extraordinary home tours, visit our website: https://homeworthy.com/

Nestled on this property for four decades, Robert’s home is a testament to a lifetime of artistic expression and a unique blend of architectural influences. Before calling his industrial-style loft home, Bellamy resided in what he affectionately refers to as the “Garden Home,” a smaller dwelling on the same property. His creative journey is evident throughout the property, showcasing his love for incorporating a delightful sense of humor into his designs.

The windows, conceptualized as building blocks, are the very foundation of this open-concept masterpiece, as mosaic details, mosaic details, funky artwork, and stained glass windows add bursts of color and character to every corner. The visual stone work detailing throughout the compound further enhances the uniqueness of each space, creating a harmonious blend of art and architecture.

Venture into the outdoor spaces and discover a sculpture haven crafted from architectural scraps and found objects. Robert’s ingenuity extends beyond the confines of the home, manifesting in the creation of an outdoor room and dining area that redefine alfresco living. Enjoy!

  13. Are you kidding me? He mentions the tub twice and make a point of trying to actually point it out when we were upstairs, but did y'all pan over and show it? No. No you did not. Why? Every video people comment on how items are mentioned but never shown. You must not be reading these comments. Bugs, man.

  14. Really enjoyed this episode. The home and property are very interesting. The outdoor space is pure art. All of the funky art pieces were fun. Loved the stories and getting to know why the home and the home's pieces are so loved without pitching a product to sell or trying hard to impress strangers on the internet. This one was a true joy.

  15. LOVE LOVE LOVE THIS!!! As a Dallas private party event planner/bartender I so want to go to this guy's house to help with his parties! I don't usually work beyond Preston Hollow or Highland/University Park but for this experience I would totally travel to just be a part of this experience. What a lovely person and beautiful living spaces he has created for himself. Very talented indeed. More of this please.

  16. I absolutely LOVE this house, property and outbuildings. Everything is so unique and things the owner loves. It seems like every designer home in Dallas the same, so this is a breath of fresh air! Thank you for inviting us in!!!

  17. Wowza, Favorite, I’m so proud of you! My happiest moment in the viewing of this tour was seeing all of the familial and international art displayed. I love a home where every piece in it has a story. Once you step foot onto this magical land, it’s a challenge to leave Robert and his beautiful mind. He is a treasure ❤

  18. How fabulous! This is just wonderful and I'm so glad that I found this Homeworthy home. Edit to add. I made this comment at about the halfway mark of the video. And then it just got better so must add more. I love how this man loves his home and his life in it. The humour. The windows! Its just so good. Thank you!

  19. Just saw you’re video; I’m so impressed by what you build! You’re house and garden are so nice, quirky and special! You have great taste! I love it… you seem to be a very special man!

  20. I absolutely love his home and overall space…what a blessing. It is clear that he totally loves everything about it. The aerial shots showed how amazing his space really is…in the midst of the city.

  21. Stunning home Robert has made for himself, such an interesting homeowner too. Men mostly are so much more authentic on their home tours, they buy things that they love, and dont care whether it's on trend or not. No name dropping over textiles, no overpriced wallpaper, no chopping cushions as they glide through their house in their shiny faces and shiny long dress. Never heard 'layering' or how 'fun' he thinks he is, what an absolute joy!. Thank you for showing your fabulous home with us Robert. P.s I dont think there is a single item in this home that I would have in mine, but I appreciate everything, and it works beautifully. 10/10.
