10×20 hoop house in NJ zone 7a.
I plan to use this hoop house to extend my growing season for fig trees. Is there anyone on the east coast using water barrels for thermal mass?
I heard that if we get a few cloudy days the water barrels can become a negative draw which defeats the whole purpose. If I go below freezing it will kill any new green growth the trees produce.
Please help. Thank you.

I tried. It didn’t do anything for me. Just not enough retained heat to offset those cold, long winter nights.
