Purchased this Hinnonmaki red bare root and excited for the journey. My question is: should I cut the green tape or leave the plant staked? I put in a 50/50 mix of azalea soil and cactus soil, that’s what I was told would be best at the local nursery, and it’s in an 18” pot which hopefully is big enough for the long term.
