  1. Thank you for remembering our veterans. Between my hubby, brother-in-law, sister-in-law, and father-in-law they've served over 65 years.

  2. You did great! There are days like that even with no family at home! I just roll with it as well. Each day is a new adventure. Your biscuits and bagels looked yummy. It was fun to watch the kids make pizza! Sorry to hear Camden has pink eye in both eyes! Never a dull moment 🙏♥️🙏♥️🙏♥️

  3. They look good to me. Are you using soda water or honey water. I don't have luck with honey water. Lye is the best but I understand it is a bit scary to use. Baking soda seems to be a great middle ground.

  4. Most places were closed Nov 10 and 11th for veterans day. You should see if there is a national memorial cemetery near you and do a field trip there

  5. Jessica hello from England. You’ll laugh I had to look on internet to see what biscuits and gravy was. Gravy in England is just a hot sauce put over meat dishes.

  6. I don't know at one point in the prep, but Becky over at One Acre Homestead wraps and freezes her pizza dough. Next time you have extra, you might do that! I enjoy the 'rolling with the punches' and what happens next after that. This was a lot of fun.

  7. Jessica I kid you not, I have the same collection of partially eaten apples on my counter as I type this. 😂 (mom of 9)

  8. Wow…..all the dough and always cooking such delicious looking foods! What a lucky family!
I try, try, try again and cook everyday, every meal but it never looks as good as yours!❤❤

  9. We did the exact same thing on the 10th! Loaded up everyone, got to the library and it was closed. Why on earth would the library be closed two days and the banks didn’t close at all?

  10. My dad's birthday was also on Veteran's Day. It would have been 98 years old. He served in World War II and Korea. He died September 13 this year. It is great the kids like helping in the kitchen fixing meals or baking. Hope everyone gets over the pink eye and you are able to make it to the library.

  11. I totally did that too, promised my children to go to the library only to realize that it was vaterans day when we got there.
