We’re back to our country home where autumn has arrived in the meantime. We need to catch up on some autumn activities in the garden, but we also made some improvements in our guest house which we want to show you. Peter attempts to make a delicious sauerkraut out of our harvest. Plus, it’s time to celebrate one of our favorite holidays ๐Ÿ˜Š

  1. Oh gawd!!! Here we go again boys!! Fall is not how one spells the word autumn. Autumn is the season following summer and preceding winter. Itโ€™s always best to try not to FALL into unfortunate Americanisms. ๐Ÿ˜‰๐Ÿ˜‰๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ‡ฌ๐Ÿ‡ง๐Ÿ๐Ÿ‚๐Ÿ๐Ÿ‚๐Ÿ๐Ÿ‚

  2. I agree with the expression of Peter's face!!! What a nasty thing to carve pumkins!!! But your work was worth it and yours turned out beautiful.
Guys you were talking about traveler pumpkins, maybe you would like to see the series "Fellow travelers". So interesting and…..well…. you can imagine.
Good luck with the sourkrut. Everyone talked about the benefits of fermented vegetables ( kimchi) but it's not my thing.
Sweeties your simple life is also very interesting. Thanks for sharing it with us. Kisses.

  3. i am so surprised, someone else is making sauerkraut, i am thrilled i am not alone in my madness
my grandmother had a crock herself but over the years it disappeared but my father did find me one and he made me a wooden weight/press, i made sauerkraut in 2017 and i have 3 jars left and i will make black-eye peas & sauerkraut soup this new year, black-eye pears and cabbage supposed to bring luck and prosperity in the new year or so i am told

  4. I have been scared of doing home fermenting lol I'm afraid I don't have the natural microbiome at home. But I'd love to make kimchi. For some reason I loooove kimchi but sauerkraut is gross to me. In theory the bacteria should be the same right? This crock you have looks like it will work great though so I'm thinking about trying it now!

  5. ๐Ÿ‡ฒ๐Ÿ‡ฝ๐Ÿ‘‹ Saludos from Mexico. We love that crock! What fun๐Ÿ˜ƒ. Of course we love Peter in the kitchen. ๐Ÿ‘จโ€๐Ÿณ. Is sauerkraut popular in the Czech Republic? We love you guys๐Ÿฉท๐Ÿ’•

  6. After watching you guys I feel so relaxed. Thanks for that. You certainly had a bumper crop of squash and pumpkins. Take care guys.โคโค

  7. I go to your Home Page guys, have been slowly working my way through them all ๐Ÿ˜€๐Ÿฅฐ

  8. Fascinating video guys! I love learning about the "old ways", and it was interesting to see you making sauerkraut. I love the crock. Such an interesting design with the water seal at the top. Thanks again for all the hours of enjoyment!!! โคโคโค

  9. Love your gardening and cooking videos. I always learn something. And who among us doesnt like Peter in the kitchen

  10. Don't even need to start the video to know it's gonna be so much fun watching it! I love the thumbnail! ๐Ÿ™‚ Thank you for sharing the great stuff Tommy & Peter ๐Ÿ™‚

  11. It seems like just yesterday spring was arriving and now the leaves are almost gone and the temperatures are dropping. Looks like a great stash for the winter. Peter youโ€™re a natural chef, ready for your cooking show, great idea for winter. Thanks for a wonderful Thursday video ๐Ÿค—

  12. Hello boys, totally loved watching this episode how you mix sauerkraut. I make a type of sauerkraut but Hungarian version. Which is white wine vinegar with sugar and you make it fresh not a lot of sugar just enough to take the edge off the vinegar itโ€™s absolutely gorgeous. I also allowed my walnuts to sit on the ground which had no idea what to do with them Now I rakes them up quickly leave them on the shelf in the garden and the beds. The mice or the seat I think itโ€™s the mice on the birds thereโ€™s a couple of big birds that take them which is good fun love watching you all, you make me smile, which is a good thing, love and hugs

  13. Never thought much about how sauerkraut is made. just know I LIKE the "Bavarian" with caraway seeds best !

  14. When you gave the sauerkraut update I thought the cabbage leaves were sautรฉed liver and that it was your dinner ๐Ÿ˜ฎ. And this is me without the ๐Ÿ’Š. Something is clearly not right. I do however love sauerkraut and Polish kielbasa ๐Ÿ˜‹. Thanks for the video and the newsletter โคโค

  15. I think it was the rodent that severed the power cable. The same rodent that helped itself to the nuts and stole Tommyโ€™s ring!

  16. Hello Tommy & Peter!! Sorry we are a little late with comments, but here we are. We enjoyed seeing you two happy with your pumpkin harvest !! We always love to see you guys in your nice garden or seeing Peter in the kitchen ๐Ÿ˜Š๐Ÿ˜Š The sauerkraut recipe was interesting. We loved the final product. Maybe you will be preparing some dish typical of Christmas from your country. That would be lovely. Have a great week guys. ๐Ÿ’™๐Ÿ’™๐Ÿฅฐ๐Ÿฅฐ
