Wow what a huge greenhouse! I have been in one that big before, Van Wengerden greenhouses outside of Asheville, NC. They have 3 greenhouses there that are each as big as yours. My mom and I own a small family greenhouse operation. We have around 3/4 acre under glass. We grow ornamentals in the spring, almost exclusively annuals, and vegetable plant starts. Right now we have poinsettias. I have actually considered and am still considering growing fruits and/or vegetables in our houses. We used to grow cut flowers for the florist industry. That was a year round business and kept constant cash flow coming in. That industry dried up years ago though. The whole florist industry changed in a big way and on top of that most of what we grew started to come in as imports. We do ok off of the ornamentals but we have too much empty space for much of the year and only have 2 times per year that any significant income comes in. We are fortunate that we are located on a major highway. That has resulted in us becoming almost 100% retail/walk in customers. But I would like to have income coming in throughout the year. That’s why I am considering a food related crop. Plus that would insulate us from economic shocks somewhat. Any downturn in the economy hurts the ornamentals business hard. With food crops people have to eat.
Anyway, I was curious as to how you heat your greenhouses.

Do you need supplement lighting? Is this all only sunlight?

Best pepper growing tips? Is this a fully hydroponic system? What medium do you use for the roots?
