"Remains of the captain" meaning what? Skelliton! Compass! Log Book? Clothes? For a lead story the details seem purposely obscure.
In Belize, in the jungle, 1+ mile away from the shore line lay the remains of a Spanish colonial ship. It must of been one hell of a hurricane.
