  1. Doesn’t Aaron want a back hoe for his John Deere? Every guy I know wants one of those.. whether he needs it or not!

  2. I would love to see a video created by Benjamin! Maybe you could include one of his clips some day! 😊

  3. I wish you would leave the wild space wild. These spots are super important for wildlife habitat. Even dead trees serve important purposes for the soil and creatures.

  4. I love names of things that just end up being that name because that's what everyone called it. My parents had a lake house when we were growing up, and into our adulthood, and there was a sweet lady next door to us named Virgie and when she passed away, my parents bought her house for a guest house and everyone still called it Virgie's house. Even 25 years after they bought it, it was "Virgie's House." They're warm and nostalgic names with a story behind them.

  5. On point with Aaron: Balance. Too much of anything, even a good thing, can be a bad thing. 😉 Love watching all your videos for just that reason. ❤

  6. Dear Laura,

I think it would be a very helpful reminder to your subscribers if you posted a message on FaceBook every time you upload a Garden Answer Highlights YouTube Video. And especially good for the new subscribers that do not know about your Garden Answer Highlights. I just love the interaction between you and Aaron on these videos.

  7. Thinking about you guys having more vacation time—it would be fun to do a viewers choice week where we poll our fav projects, most memorable videos/time periods and then sharing them for a week so you could still keep your posting up for the YouTube police. Would give you some more time off!

  8. Hello from Florida! I was totally Fan Girling it out when you read my question today! I really think you guys should build the barn on the new property with a living space that you could move into temporarily while you were houses being renovated!

  9. A flyover sounds great. I’d be interested to see exactly where your various gardens are in relation to your house, barn, Hartley etc.

  10. Give those dang dahlias away now and make their storage the new owners problem 😂😂 Just keep the ones you want😅

  11. I think what Laura wanted to say is when you get sick you have a renewed appreciation for good health.

  12. Your videos are my favorite positive place and are always inspiring and motivating, so thanks. 🙂

  13. In my zone 7 — it changed so it's between a and b at the moment — we can grow hydrangeas all week long and twice on Sunday, but we can't keep arborvitaes alive. Such is life.

  14. I love listening to you two! I learn so much when you chat about your thoughts and plans. Word to the wise – It is not uncommon for a remodel to take 50% more time and 50% more money than planned for. This is primarily because of changes in plans during the process. Just a thought!

  15. I love spending time with my family and doing other things but my time at home is where my jam is. I am a homebody for sure. You both are great and have your priorities in the right places. Keep up the good work and get well!

  16. Growing up on a farm my siblings and i never had a playset. We rode horses and ponies and played in one of our big trees. We never missed having a swingset as we found so many other things to play

  17. Floret went to dahlia seeds, might you try those seeds? Avocado trees get plump shaped at maturity like a citrus and they are a warm weather tree seen in Mid-So Cal. grown on hills and fruit well every other year, altho my Aunt did grow one from seed in the Bay Area and it matured outside planted to be about 15' x15' when she passed at age 93.

  18. Omg!! I was mentioned in a recap!! Ahhh!! I have been following, and watching religiously for years. Garden answer has been such a guiding light for me as I have been learning along with everyone else. It’s a daily staple for me and low and behold I’m mentioned the first time I am trying my hand at overwintering dahlias. Love everything about the channel, thank you!!

  19. Sooooo agree with you on the playset. I grew up in town, but next to a farm implement dealership. Tractors, combines, trailers were my preferred playground. And I lived to tell it👍👍 PS……I still prefer to be outside in the dirt😊

  20. Agree on the playset idea…they only care for a few days and then it’s “how do we get rid of this thing ?”. 🤭

  21. Our compost pile 20' by 5-6', is all horse manure and sawdust pellets from their stalls, that is not watered except by rain and it gets warm inside by fermentation. If ever it starts steaming in summer, we water it down. In winter, birds, a blue heron once, deer and foxes lay there to warm up. It's turned once a year w a tractor. We give it away to Community Gardeners and they love it grabbing older side that's more broken down and load it themselves, so we don't bother with it like "they" say to ever, 15 yrs now.

  22. Don’t tease me. I live in a 7b zone, have been looking for someone on YouTube who gardens in that zone. I really like your style of making thing looks nice and of course does well at growing. Thank you 🤗🌱

  23. Hi Laura and Aaron, it’s so nice to spend Sunday morning with you during your conversation. I’ve always wondered why you do not caught up a large Evergreen each year for your Christmas tree and the Hartley… That way Christmas is over you can plant it and in the meantime, you get the fresh sent of the evergreen. Do a different tree every year to see what’s your favorite. .

  24. Laura? Low energy? NEVER! You’re always full of energy and I’m wondering, “what’s wrong with ME”??? 😂🙈

  25. My garden cleanup depends on when it snows. If it snows before I get to it then it will wait for spring 😊

  26. Northlawn Flower Farm does a wonderful job of explaining all of the ins and out of growing amaryllis. Look her up!

  27. Trust me, any playset you get will more than likely sit there empty. Kids had rather ride their trykes or bikes or play with a ball, other outside toys. I just had to get a set for my two kids and they were intriqued and enjoyed the set for about 6 weeks then moved on to other things never to touch the playset again.

  28. Weather is cyclical. They’ll change it again. And yes, dirt and wide open space develops creativity in children. So good for them.

  29. Loved this recap video. The casual discussion between you both is just lovely. Keep doing what you’re doing and enjoy each day.

  30. I apologize in advance: What do you call someone who promotes delivery of your local newspaper to your neighborhood? A route seller! (hey I said I was sorry).

  31. Have you checked out Bobcat's TL519 Telehandler? I've been on a construction project that had it's bigger brother. Wow! What an amazing piece of equipment. Plus it has an auger attachment 🤔.

  32. How blessed you are Laura to have had such good memories and home that you can still nap in even after having been gone for so long . Wish everyone could have that . ❤
