Gary Pilarchik: How to Properly Seed Your Lawn, Addressing Tree Roots, Making a Patch Mix: The Cheapest Way!

The key to successfully seeding your lawn is to keep moisture on the seeds. I show you how to seed a problem lawn cheaply but effectively. I address large patch areas, tree roots and how to make a patch mix for general use. I cover feeding, moisture and giving the seeds a damp secure place to germinate. Water everyday for 10 days and you will have a newly established lawn.

Step 1: Cut Grass

Step 4: Cover Area to Patch with 1/4 inch Peat Moss
Step 5: Gentle Soak Peat Moss
Step 6: Scatter Seeds on Peat Moss
Step 7: Cover Seeds with 1/4 inch Top Soil
Step 8: Use Patch Mix in Smaller Areas
Step 9: Following Instruction for Tree Root Areas
Step 10: Water in the Entire Area
Step 11: Water Daily for 10 Days
