My name is Sam and together with my girlfriend Lyanne, I am on a quest to restore the beauty of this old Italian villa from 1895. Join us as we have to let go of our Dutch habits to fit in in our Italian surroundings, were the word ‘plan’ gets redefined and our tastebuds are awakened.
The goal of this project is to show that with limited financial means and a lot of optimism we can resurrect the beauty of this abandoned villa in a green and sustainable way. But most of all learn from everything that we encounter and enjoy it whilst we’re at it.

Why would you have your toilet waste empty into a fresh water river. Why not a septic tank?๐ข
I like the regular posts
Love the videos, I hope you are taking precautions against any snakes…I guess vipers are a real danger in Italy. Wonder what the scrap value of the car is. Bet there is a story there.
My best guess: the car was a 25 years old Fiat Cinquecento in Giallo ocra. Somebody any other suggestions?
Your friends are hard workers.
You should get goats to clear the garden. They could get it done in no time.
For me it is always the best video when he takes his shirt off to work. hehehehe ๐
ever think of finding a friendly farmer with some hungry goats to clear most of the yard?
Even if you are doing it yourself, you'd certainly benefit by using the more appropriate hand tools (like using a pointed spade digging a hole, rather than a squared shovel).
The most wonderful thing: boys and girls working together to accomplish their dream! No matter it will take some time! Congratulations for all of you!
The shovel you are using is not designed for this type of work. Ive tried sending a link to more practical style but youtube block posting. If you know of another way to communicate let me know. Failing that the shovel is called a ROUGHNECK ROUND HEAD LONG-HANDLED DIGGING SHOVEL. While yes its to dig, the design makes it so much easier to get under the vegatation. As the pointed over flat edge gives you far more leverage
Great work!!!
Good job๐ช
I always want to lend a hand when others are working…especially dirty corners
Can you sell metal recyclables in Italy? Are there ways to recycle other types of materials?
Great job… love those hardworking friends!
Im appalled as you are. The city should've been up on making pre ious owner to clean their property. Certainly clean before selling
Wow great progress. It will be very satisfying to get rid of all the rubbish into the container. ๐๐ป๐๐ป๐๐ป
Grate job๐ ๐ช๐
I am watching from Penticton B.C Canada and I want to say you are doing a Fantastic job , just think how lovely your garden will be when you are finished .
Wow, that is a lot of trash all over your land! I'm glad you had hard working friends to help you clean that mess up!
Enjoyed from Texas! Wish I could help!

I bet for decades people on that highway have looked upon your Villa with intrigue and fascination. It is one of those landmarks, right off the road, which many are familiar with, but have always wondered what is the story.
Wow. Bravissimi. ๐
I would be tempted to rent a small digger/ripper to get rid of overgrowth and trash. However, the way you are doing it will keep you fit.
Is this one of those Italian houses you can buy for โฌ1 ?
Maybe by the end of renovation you could camouflage the highway and neighbors with tall landscaping?
It must feel good to have so much cleared! Watermelon after a hard dayโs work is like gold!
It is a very nice house and in very good condition. I doubt someone would be interested in buying it because of the location after your renovation.
Would you consider installing tanks to collect rain water for toilets, washing machine, etc. ?
Are you able to collect some of the passing rain water?
You are all doing a great job clearing the yard!
New subscriber here, it's great to have friends to help. Best of luck to you.
โฃโฃโฃโฃ Some love for all of you! Good teamwork.
Sam & Lyanne, along with your friends are all working very hard in the garden, resulting in a huge difference In each episode. We can all see the potential for this villa. Nice to see you all having fun as well. Always look forward to each vlog.

So much rubbish, but you did a great job cleaning it all up!
It had to be a Fiat.๐
It's hard to believe just how much debris you guys pulled out of the garden. It makes you wonder if people took advantage of it being abandoned and maybe used it as a tip. It's going to be exciting to see it come back to being a beautiful garden again.๐โค
Great work guys. Rhetorical question, why would someone leave all that rubbish????
Tough job๐๐
You can feline it as someone suggested , a specialist company would "blow" a double skinned plastic pipe along the length which is filled with resin , air pressure keeps it against the pipe wall when the resin has cured you have a new pipe .
