  2. Hi Kim! I've been watching your winter strategy videos, wishing I, too, lived in a frost-free area. Sort of. That would mean more climate change. Well, don't you know that the USDA just released (yesterday?) an updated Plant Hardiness Zone Map for the second time in about 12 years. How scary is that, that the climate is changing so quickly. Even though I'm in NJ, I wonder if I should start looking at tropical plant seeds and starts. (kidding…I think…). I believe this is the fourth or fifth shift since 1991. Maybe on one of your videos you can advise people to google USDA Plant Hardiness Zone Map 2023, to re-check their zones, as a matter of interest, not fear. I know those zones aren't the end-all and be-all of planting guides, but it's mighty interesting history. As I type this, it's 65 degrees here, no wind, and I have windows open. I admit to loving the mild weather. have a great day!

  3. Mine in Alaska get deep frozen: cold goes deep in the ground so mulch doesn’t stop the cold. They come back every year, make lots of runners, and make a great crop! Thanks for the video : variety really important

  4. My strawberries are all in containers and I live in No. San Diego county. No frost here! Should these plants be pruned back? Some of my plants are really big (for strawberry plants) and have been in my towers for 2-3 years. They produce but are not super productive. When I changed out the soil in one of the towers, I noticed the roots were really big too. I would love to have a huge crop since I have so many plants. I know feeding is a big part, but should container plants be pruned back to the crown as well? Thanks for the help.
