I live in a very rural community. Walmart is 13 miles away and one of our only options with exception of Food Lion, Dollar General & Family Dollar. We can drive an hour to the coast for Costco. 2 years ago, I started my extended pantry as prices started going up. I always wanted a prepped pantry & love shopping my own “store” and home canned goods.
I'm 132 miles from the nearest Walmart & Costco and I go once a month from May until the first snow to stock up for the year so my last trip will be the week before Thanksgiving and the I rely on my inventory and one of my 2 grocery stores that are 42 miles away.
If it wasn't for Walmart most prepper channels wouldn't exist.

I don't shop at Walmart much because many items are locked up and it takes alot of time to get someone who has a key.
I buy the Walmart canned beans and 5 cans at a time. Then, I dehydrate them. I do have bags of regular dry beans stored in mylar bags also. But I loved having the instant beans. They are great to just add a handful to my homemade canned soups.
Larger scale: Sam's 50# beans, 50# rice, 5 gallon bucket, gamma lids, mylar bags, O2 absorber.
Pool noodles are $1.25 at the dollar store.
You know….i just came across u. Good video! covers 75 -80% of what it took me 3 yrs to learn. I have to say you cover it all without all the stories which can be time consuming. For your packed information, that is spot on, trust me,.. i have subscribed.

5-gallon buckets don't need a special seat a regular round seat rests on top of the bucket. it does not lock in place but doesn't move around either

If you have a Gorden's in your area they have canned meats in various sizes. Hamburger, sausage ect…
Just try to consider the quality and importance of gear that you buy at walmart.

You seem to be the right person to ask about a prepping video that's thoughtful of others. I was impressed by your DIY prepping buckets and boxes. Can you put one together for elder relatives with arthritis? If food and medicine become hard to get, i wouldn't want to feed the relatives food that will trigger their arthritis right when they've run out of arthritis meds.
