  1. There would have been provision for visiting guests grooms to stay in house or more likely in stables also drop holes from barn floor away from ladder point for safety so holes between floors for hay straw and oates.Horse treatment more important than human for reliance for work and in stormy weather.Sad that decorative molding has fallen but its construction was very poor the weight of the stone rail was all that held it together larger holes and construction resins would give longterm strength, keep safe.

  2. Hi Carole & Adrian, Hope you both are well. Glad the damage wasn't too bad from the storm, hope the next one isn't too bad. I love the coach house also, I always wanted to see Adrian work on it, he does such amazing work. Really great to see you both. Safe travels back and forth to the UK. Have a wonderful week. Lots of love Kathy x 💕

  3. Omg. What a storm u escaped Carole and Adrian. Well ur gorgeous Chateau stood strong against the wind…well except for the cement b…. things on the front of the Chateau. It's amazing after all the years of storms those cement railings things never came off. 😂 Great they mostly just fell on the grass. ADRIAN THEY COULD HAVE JUMPED OFF TRYING TO TELL U **WHEN ,R U GOING TO POWER WASH US RAILING THINGS**??😉😄😃
WELL UR COACH HOUSE COULD BE A NICE B+B. The BUTLERS. AND MAIDS HOUSE😂😅 GOOD TO SEE U AND CAROLE SURVIVED THE SHIP 🛳RIDEON THE HIGH🌊 SEAS.

  4. 'Blown off like Mary Poppins' … LMAO. And then when you thought that he's bringing out the finger 🤣. You guys are hilarious!! So entertaining
I love watching your work on this Chateau. Really would be sad to see it end.

  5. Instead of selling could you not rent the chateau closing the top floor and in your own time renovate the coach house it seems such a shame your dream project is not finished. Look at it as a long term project instead.

  6. The last line You still could you never know. I’ve been praying for answers and solutions for your future be it UK or France and I will continue to do so.
I think that this Is your Chateau but that is just my thoughts . You both need confirmation of that . May you both be richly blessed in all things you put your hands to.

  7. So, this question may have already been answered, but is your daughter that lives in England, with her fairly new baby and works for you going to go back to work after a period of maternity leave? I was wondering if you could keep the chateau then and just commute for the time in between.

  8. I truly believe Terry needs to come by for a few days and clean everything before the repairs are done to the balustrade. He does have all the products and knowledge. Still praying you keep the château

  9. I love the coach house. The stonework is stunning. I’m glad you made it safely on the boat during that storm. Stay safe! xx

  10. Why not sell the chateau but keep the coach house, you would create the most wonderful home from home!

  11. Pity about the ballustrade. They used to use lead butterflies to secure the capping stones. Its strange that there were no pins in the bases. I am sure Adrian will sort it out. Sell the chateaux and keep the stable block and convert it for yourselves. ATB regards from the UK

  12. The space above the coach house looks like it could be a fabulous apartment for guess who lol your Grandson and granddaughter and mom and dad lol that would be marvelous 🥰

My grant aunt did that at her historical home she made a 2400sf guest apartment above her garage for when family and friends out of state come to visit here 🥰

  13. ow bugger the olive pot and balustrade , not a happy Carole, keep the wine at hand , but just happy there is not to much damage for you guys , the coach house looks indeed lovely 🥰

  14. I would have moved right into the Coach House and probably waited (many years) later to compete the Chateau. It is GORGEOUS! Incredible craftsmanship. The horses had it better than the chatelaine, by the looks of it. The architecture. The stunning windows. Sigh.

  15. "Oh my word" as you would say! That's some storm to take down the balustrade but no wonder when they're not pinned. Crazy.

  16. I love that coach house, especially the rafters. I wonder how one could finish that space for living but leave the rafters exposed. They're too beautiful to cover up.

  17. Happy to see you both made it through the storms without injury or too much damage. Christmas is almost here – you will be able to have your Christmas at the Chateau! The Salon will be amazing decorated for Christmas! I don't think it's the coach house floor that is deterring buyers. It is the kitchen… It's always the kitchens and bathrooms that sell a home. The people coming through can't see the vision for the kitchen between looking at the old kitchen and the temporary (summer) kitchen. Maybe an autocad drawing taped to a wall?
