I was surprised how lush everything was yesterday in my area after we got a foot of snow last week. I was easily able to find everything I wanted plus bonus mushroom that I managed to send in there. Thanks BitchBass!
Welcome to the hobby! I recommend using about half as much substrate next time though. Also, adding layers of rock/sand, charcoal, etc. will help substantially with the longevity of the terrarium.

You need more air space than substrate because you want room for your plants to grow.

There is some sand at the bottom but dammit, that substrate volume was a slight worry in the back of my head. I think I’ll try “surgery” tomorrow. I want this one perfect.
