  1. The difficult part for me isn't the planting, it's knowing when exactly to harvest them. I've had success with garlic, but also some dismal failures because I wasn't patient enough to wait to harvest at the right time.

  2. Garlic needs a lot of nitrogen in the spring. Most economic organic fertilizer for that will be soy bean meal, then alfalfa meal

  3. Thanks for the reminder to get my garlic in the ground. This year was a bust for me but don't have enough sunny areas to plant. I am going to try to grow some indoors too in a shallow 6 in tray just to see how they do. I emailed you a walk behind leaf blower that I think you can rent or buy to check out. Blessings always..

  4. Here in MA. Planted my garlic from last year on 30 October & covered w 6” of straw. Did, mostly, Hard neck & some Soft neck. 😊JClaire

  5. Today is pur 42nd wedding anniversary and I'm planting garlic today. I'm trying something different like you this year too. I'm trying some great big grow bags out. Wishing you a bountiful garlic harvest next year! Have a wonderful day!

  6. God bless you!! You're like the energizer bunny!! You just keep going and going!! Love to you. Great video, I love all!!

  7. That big rock is probably part of the limestone shelf my house sits on and part of the massive chunk of limestone that supports all of Middle Tennessee.

  8. Kaye, let me start with I am sorry for your loss. I just sobbed right with you. We lost three of our babies since January . I get so inspired watching you. Take care and be blessed.

  9. I planted the garlic last Friday. I didn't have any luck the last time I planted it here in TN so I waited a little later this year. I haven't run into much for rock here. It's all that boot sucking clay so I have to keep amending each year until it gets to be nice rich soil.

  10. I am trying Supermarket big cloves Probably California "Gilroy" I got for $0.69 per bulb at Safeway. Who knows? Probably will have garlic next Summer and maybe get bigger bulbs as this time I planted in the raised bed full of 1 year old compost I bought last year. Electro-culture is something new to me and I may do that next year but who knows? Glad you are getting more things done and early. Still have grasshoppers here today. Ugh.

  11. Hey Kaye! You are so energetic! I am ashamed to say, I haven't planted any fall or winter crops. I did start my brassicas back in late September, but the heat was relentless and nothing came up! I was so disappointed! I just haven't bothered to replant anything. I will regret it, but I'll try again next year! My Moringa trees are still thriving, but no seed pods yet. Perhaps next year,if they survive the winter. I've dehydrated lots of leaves, so I'm set for wellness tea!
Take care and have a wonderful week!❤

  12. Maybe it's somebody's grave stone or a property marker.I never planted garlic before .Do you have to plant it now? Why do you have to plant it now?

  13. Looking beautiful as all heck! Not sure what you were planting, because you’re smile had me hypnotized! : ) That a good call to have him use the excavator to help you out. Okay, maybe I was listening!

  14. Thank you! If I am still around next summer I will try this. Too ill to do it now. Wish you didn't have to plant so far from your house. I always think of safety.

  15. You have a smile that shines a beautiful light that is magnified by your intelligence 😇🌹🐝🐞🐾GOD BLESS you my dear 🤠
