Tips

My embarrassing June 2023 Garden Tour. I’m a novice gardener and need help identifying my plants.

Over the past few years my husband and I have been working hard to spruce up our backyard garden space. While I love being outside and tending to all the plants, I have a hard time remembering all the plant names and varieties. I don’t know how everyone else does it. lol. I apologize to all of you avid gardeners out there for my lack of knowledge, but I’m doing my best to learn. I hope to get better with this (especially since my plan is to do more gardening vlogs) and because I really love my little garden corner of the world. I have a grand vision for it going forward because I take my inspiration from all of the wonderful gardening channels I watch (and subscribe to) on YouTube. One day it is my dream to have a yard as beautiful as those I find here. Thanks for watching. 🙂
Oh, and if you can help a girl out with the names of some of the plants I show here, I sure would appreciate it. Also, I’d appreciate some practical tips for how YOU all keep track of all the things in your garden?
TIA! – Renee 🙂
p.s. *Note to self – Next time I’ll use a different recording device (not my phone) for better quality video and audio!

  1. What a beautiful garden!! Enjoyed this so much!! I used to have so many plants and flowers! You are doing great with the names!! Sorry I can't help with the ones you didn't know!! Great work!! ❤🤗🙏

  2. I'd love to hear what you're saying. My volume is maxed, but your mic is too far away.

  3. Awesome garden and into to it. Sound needs to go up, it was difficult to hear your soft voice. Keep up the good work!

  4. A very lovely garden. I tag every plant in my garden. Also Google Lens can help you identify plants. It looks like you have a good bit of native plants. Keep filling in with those. I have one end of my garden dedicated to non native plants that is up in a corner far away from the rest. I also dont plant anything I have to fight for control of my own garden space in the ground. Pots for those types only.
