Thanks for growing your groceries with us! -CaliKi & CameraGuy

  2. I grew Marionberry blackberries this year. I won’t be pruning them. It was its first year and July was rough with no water. Planted mid June. Growing them pretty close to their origin in Marion county Oregon. It seems to be trying to bury two shoots to root more plants and it’s doing great.

  3. I didn't realize the floracanes only grow fruit 1 year. My bed is a hot mess (all plants volunteers — thanks birdies!) and I really didn't know how to trim. They grow out of the bed and "bite" us as we go by. Now I have a plan of attack. Thanks for this great info!

  4. I set my thornless blackberries out last fall. This year, I think I only have perma canes?
So should I trim them back to about 2 feet?
    And…
do I need to cover when there is a frost or a freeze this winter?

  5. Can this be applied to boysenberries as well? My plant has grown crazy amount, and length of new vines, 6 feet easily. I should cut these new, long vines back like you stated?
