If this plan is approved, New York could finally have a solution for its terrified train riders! Watch this video to learn more about this ambitious proposal and why it could be a game-changer for the city.

  1. Rethinknyc should be the only proposal that should be taken seriously. Throughrunning is not even considered in the 20 year assessment plan.

  2. America truly needs highspeed rail and bullet train technology to improve infrastructure and economic growth. This is something the mighty United States of America should of had decades ago.

  3. So, putting up with 20 years of reconstruction in exchange for remedying the mistake Penn RR made by razing the original Penn station when I was a kid? I plan on being dead in 20 years, so not sure I'm going to see any changes in my life-time :-). And I'm not all that happy with the Senator Daniel Patrick Moynihan train station either. I arrived from upstate NY on the Empire Service as I usually do, followed the flow of people up the elevators, and arrived in the same decrepit old remnants of Penn Station as I always have. Where was Moynihan? Well, I had to follow the signs, which had me going back up to surface level, then across the street, and then I could walk in the Moynihan section of the train station… not exactly intuitive. On the way back home I did make use of the facility. I would think they would have closed off the old escalators or had large signs explaining this was NOT the way to the Moynihan Train Station.

  4. Paraphrasing a famous quotation: one used to enter the city like a god, now one scuttles in like a rat.

Hopefully continued progress will improve the situation.

  5. More people are moving OUT of NYC. This is a tremendous waste of taxpayer money
