One Yard Revolution: Inexpensive Grow Light Fixture Made with Metal Duct Pipe

The start of my indoor biochar trial is just one week away. So, I spent time this weekend making some final updates to my grow room in preparation for the trial.
One of my biggest challenges has been finding enough shelf space under lights to accommodate the 48 plants that will be grown in the trial, while still having enough room for plants that I’m overwintering and other seeds that I’m starting. So, to meet these needs, I built two new light fixtures that will utilize the four 85 watt CFLs that I purchased a few months ago for $10 each.

OYR is all about growing a lot of food on a little land using sustainable organic methods, while keeping costs and labor at a minimum. Emphasis is placed on improving soil quality with compost, mulch, and compost tea. No store-bought fertilizers, soil amendments, pesticides, compost activators, etc. are used.
