The bottom line for controlling disease in the garden is prevention. Many disease spores live in your soil over the winter. When water splash soil and spores get onto your tomato leaves… the spores start doing their thing. A soil splash barrier will reduce the chances of diseases on your tomatoes from soil born spores and such.
