  1. Kaye, good to hear from you. Sending lots of encouragement to you and all who reads this. I think at this time we could use encouragement. God is so good. I think your garden season went great. Your knee is healing well. ❤ We have so much in common at this time. I too lost my sibling recently and I too take care weekly of another family member in a nursing home. Trying my best and praying. Yes being right with God and Jesus Christ is the most important. ✝️❤️

  2. You’ve given me so many LOLs on the simple stuff. “ I’ve got a tomato over here that thinks it’s gonna produce a lot”. 🤣

  3. Kaye, happy to see your garden. I'm getting ready for a freeze too. I'm bringing in my potted ginger plant, my rosemarys and my lemongrass. BTW, I have used my wild lettuce tincture. The 3 middle toes and the (meta?) tarsals on my left foot were swollen and hurt for about 3 weeks. Don't know what I did. But last night I put 3 eye droppers full into my bourbon and seltzer. I had 2 of those. This morning the swelling was noticeably down and the pain was minimal. This is the wild lettuce plant from which I sent you the seeds. I hope your tincture works as well as mine. Be safe and stop falling. :^)

  4. When you fell AGAIN I got scared for you hoping you didn't hurt yourself AGAIN. Great garden! Lots to do! We've had temps in the 30's already here in Nebraska. I put bunch of leaves on my raised beds. Take care. Nancy from nebraska

  5. Hello pretty Kaye!
You really excelled this year, despite your setbacks! I'm with you on being prepared as much as I can be. The horrendous heat this summer took a toll on my garden. I managed to get a few good vegetables, but not enough to store. I am with you on the concerns of our country, and the world. It's worrisome, but I just pray and prep! You and I are the same age, so it is quite a different experience for us! Take care! Hug the kitties for me!

  6. It's really worth it to overwinter peppers 🌶 when you have the space. I rescued some of mine before the first frost. Wow 🌸🐝🐝🐝👍 Do you leave your passion fruit outside in winter?

  7. You still have so much food in your garden! This time of year I am sad to see the plants die back, but glad to feel the cool weather. I am prepared as I can be in my circumstance, and I pray for Peace and Blessings for everyone. Without our faith and discernment we would be lost. May God Bless you Kaye. And stop falling down😊🌻🐈

  8. Our high today here in our Mojave desert community was only 60! Brrr. High winds too. Will be frosty this week at night perhaps. I want a freeze to kill the remaining grasshoppers! Did not do any outside work other than just taking coffee grounds out to the compost pile. I like The Old Farmer's Almanac.

  9. Kaye, Cog Hill Farm uses silage tarps from Hoss Tools. He puts that over the top of his cover crop one month before spring planting to kill the cover crop. Thought you might be interested. I cover my whole garden just using regular tarps but if I get one large one 40×50 that would be easier than a bunch of small tarps.

  10. Don't fall for the phoney war drums beating. Our enemies fund both sides. It is our own country along with Mossad that attacks our own counties and theirs too.

  11. I find much peace, encouragement and just general soul rest when I watch you. I struggle. At 75 with some arthritis issues, widowed, no close family, you give me hope. Thank you.

  12. Thank you for the lovely walk around your property. You kept me company as I prepared my dinner this evening. Had a few cat mom chuckles watching yours follow you around the garden, their tails up, looking a little mischievously, I’m sure they are “feeling” the cooler weather. You were quite the trooper with the short misstep you took at the beginning, glad you rightened yourself so quickly. ✌🏻

  13. 😮 In GR Michigan, surprisingly we will be having our first hard frost same as you in Tennessee.

  14. 😊NICE WALK!!!😊…I PLANTED MY #100 GARLIC HERE IN THE "OHIO VALLEY" USA THIS PAST WEEK…AN OLDER MAN TOLD ME YRS. AGO TO PLANT ON THE "1ST FULL MOON" IN OCT.😉..SO I HAVE DONE THAT WHEN POSSIBLE..(THIS YR. I COULDN'T DO IT)😢….I DO LOVE GROWING MY GARLIC😊💓..(SOFT NECK)…TAKE CARE…😊

  15. You mentioned following the Almanac's planting. This is the 1st year we did that, and we've gardened for years with success. But, I'll have to admit, things were even better. Almost everything did so much better. Higher germination rates, bigger produce, and overall Wow. We will be following it for planting from here on out. Curious to see what results you get compared to other years.
