Art Inspiration Gems: Tour of My “Impressionist Backyard”

Welcome to my artistic haven! Join me on a short artist vlog as I take you on a tour outside my art studio, where I’ve lovingly created a breathtaking backyard sanctuary for our adorable pet chickens and ducks. Inspired by the awe-inspiring beauty of Monet’s garden in Giverny, France, I sought to recreate my own oasis as a source of inspiration and tranquility.

Step into a world of vibrant colors and lively chatter as I introduce you to our feathered friends, each with their unique personalities. As I guide you through the lush greenery and meticulously designed pathways, you’ll witness the incredible attention to detail that went into transforming our ordinary backyard into an extraordinary paradise.

Bask in the enchanting atmosphere reminiscent of Monet’s idyllic haven, as I share my vision and passion for creating a harmonious space for both my artistry and our beloved animals. Discover how inspiration from Giverny’s breathtaking landscapes influenced my choice of flora, water features, and artistic installations, carefully curated to evoke a sense of serenity.

My vlog explores not only the physical beauty of our backyard oasis but also the joy and fulfillment it brings me as an artist. Through sharing my experiences, I hope to inspire fellow creatives to seek inspiration from nature and create their own personal sanctuaries. Whether you’re an art enthusiast, animal lover, or simply seeking a moment of tranquility, this vlog promises to transport you to a world of artistic inspiration and natural beauty.

When it comes to painting pet portraits, like my pet chickens, I like recording videos instead of shooting photos. I used to photograph the animals, but I realized that I was missing a lot of better “photo opportunities” by not shooting videos.

These days, I prefer using my phone camera to record short video footages whenever I run into great scenes that might inspire my painting and drawing projects.

I use image editors like Adobe Lightroom to save particular frames from the video, crop, edit and export them as still images. Then I draw from those images.
