  1. And for months later!Time for me to do this one
😊 whith my new kurateke watercolor set of 48 thank you for the review abd this is gorgeous Paul❤ thanks for sharing ❤

  2. I love this, watched this video three times now, just got a set of the Japanese paints and going to try this real soon….

  3. Beautiful painting. The use of colors is a little different in japanese style painting, especially the use of blue…can I request an episode on 'colour study'of some of the edo period paintings…I understand that these were mostly from wood block prints…thanks in advance…I watched some content about this but wasn't able to understand much

  4. I've decided to switch to the Japanese watercolor paint (Gansai). Because Watercolor is a subtractive process that I've never mastered. I'm better at the additive. So I've traded the luminosity of watercolors for the control I get from using Gansai. Since I still have a lot of watercolors left, I'm using them along with Gansai. Maybe I can keep some of the qualities only watercolors have. I'm glad I stumbled onto your tutorial. Thanks

  5. I've switched to Gansai from watercolor. I'm wanting a true Japanese wood block print look. now I am not mixing colors the way I did with WC. I apply stright from pallette. And Maybe glaze one color on top. I think this is closely replicating the technique of priting. Thoughts?

  6. This is my favorite of your videos (of the ones I’ve watched so far) because it’s closest to my style, but I’ve learned so much from all of them. I’ve been struggling with a painting with a similar feel, so I may rework my drawing, follow your tutorial for this, then start my painting over using what I’ve learned. Thank you!

  7. Totally loved this new approach to Japanese style painting. I am going to attempt it prior to a trip to Japan in November. Easy on the sake … 🤣😉😁🙏. Big thanks for this.

  8. Appreciating your paintings is one of life's great pleasures !
    Thanks for a pleasant time!
