Quick shots of wild edibles (Blueberry, Wintergreen, Sweet Fern) in their native habitat – acidic soil courtesy of the surrounding oak/pine forest.

Want to grow some at home? Build soil, with oak and pine mulch, sawdust, needles, leaves, etc.

NO cedar mulch! Cedar is anti-fungal, great for keeping down the very beneficial mycorrhizae your plants need. Use cedar wood for construction outdoors, but otherwise no-no.
