🌱 Growing Red Burgundy Okra: A Delicious Adventure! 🌿

Okra lovers, this one’s for you! Here’s my review on growing Red Burgundy okra.

Vibrant Beauty: 🌺
The first thing that struck me was the stunning appearance of the Red Burgundy Okra. The plant’s deep red stems and vibrant green leaves make it a standout in the garden, and the pods themselves are a work of art. They turn a rich shade of burgundy as they mature.

Easy to Grow: 🌱
For both novice and experienced gardeners, Red Burgundy Okra is a breeze to cultivate. It’s a warm-season plant, so ensure you plant it after all danger of frost has passed. Provide it with well-drained soil, plenty of sun, and adequate water, and it’ll thrive. Just watch it grow, and you’ll be amazed at how quickly those beautiful pods appear.

Taste Sensation: πŸ‘…
Okra has a unique taste and texture, and Red Burgundy Okra is no exception. When picked at the right time, the pods are tender and have a mild, slightly sweet flavor. They’re perfect for adding to gumbo, stir-fries, or even pickling. Plus, the vibrant red color adds a pop to any dish!

Harvesting Tips: βœ‚οΈ
To enjoy the best flavor, harvest the Red Burgundy Okra when it’s about 4-6 inches long. Use a sharp pair of scissors to snip the pods off the plant, and be sure to check your okra every few days, as they grow rapidly. The more you harvest, the more they produce!

  2. my okra is about 8 feet tall. hate seeing the garden go in the fall. my wallet gonna thank me after got my water bill yesterday. Lord lol.

  3. I've never cared for the taste of okra, but that's so pretty I'm tempted to grow it just for it's looks. I need a bigger yard lol.

  4. Just curious why they are not available commercially. Their shelf life is similar to green variety. Same case in my part of world in Pakistan people grow this variety in their homes but only green variety is available in stores and in vegetable markets…

  5. My red okra just started producing and πŸ™πŸΌ I get a decent harvest before cold weather. I also have a 2’ variety called Jambalaya and it’s producing as well.
