Awesome video, so jealous of that view! 🙂
I love the gardening videos! What do you use for pests that come into your raised beds?
Really enjoyed the video. I have a wasp problem every year in my barn. Going to try the fake nest. Thanks for taking the time to make this.
No tractor? May I suggest a small garden tractor? It doesn't need to be new or fancy. Â They are easy to use and actually a fair bit of fun. Â I have a 1991 John Deere 420 with a small front end loader and I really can't imagine how I gardened without it. Â Used ones can be found fairly cheaply. You don't need to get a John Deere, of course. Â Most are quite capable. Just make sure it's strong enough to handle a front end loader and a 3 point hitch and away you go.
Mrs Wranglerstar, are there any different crops that benefit each other by growing together? I've been trying to find information on this, but havent really been able to find anything
This is one of my favorite videos on this channel. Â Even a small garden can be worth a few thousand dollars. Â One tool that I think is indispensable is the tiller, it keeps the soil in a life cycle, in-riching it so plants can have everything they need. Â I tll in the fall, then 8 weeks before I plant, then again just before I plant. That is the only reason I don't like raised beds. Â I'd like to see more of these videos, pleaseÂ
hey its mrs. wranglerstar (every once in a while)  🙂
I really want to know if the fake hornets nest worked!
Enjoyed the variety that this brought to the channel. Good job even without an ending. We don't always have to be fancy!
Bless you, your a hard worker like hubby, wish I could get my wife and daughter to work like that!!!!!But I do see them taking interest in my bee hives!!!!! Bless y'all till next time..!
To get rid of your wasp problems buy some peppermint oil (peppermint extract next to the vanilla in the store) and put 2 T. of peppermint oil in 4 c water in a hand sprayer, shake & put on stream then shoot the nest & them. If it's a big nest it may take a few applications but they hate the strong smell & won't come back. This worked for me with red wasps & they are aggressive & I am so happy with the results. Hope that helps! =) Btw, I like your videos & hope you make some more.Â
I hope you're washing your eggshells… you can kill your worms really fast adding even small amounts of egg. Â
nice little change of pace
Good video Mrs. Wranglerstar.
Bravo, Mrs W
Why don't you guys have a small tractor with a loader? I used to have less land than you and found a tractor to be an extreme help.
Just a tip for you…..crush the egg shells finely before adding to the compost. Egg shells take a very long time too break down. You can also use spice/coffee grinder, and turn them to powder….add the powder when planting tomato starts.
I have seen a fake nest for sale at the hardware store. Â Be interesting to see how it works for you. Â I have an inside barn wall that has accumulated 6 or so paper wasp nest so I kind of doubt it works. Â I have heard that if you paint the inside of an open porch sky blue it helps keep the bees at bay along with hanging clear bags of water from the ceiling or open windows. Â At the least you have a good project/learning experience for the kids in making the fake nest.
Love the Wonder Woman opening. Good stuff Mrs. Wranglerstar. You and Cody really cover all the bases, Jack is going to grow up with so much knowledge just from what you two do in and around the home.
Nice video Mrs.W. I've gotta get my pepper growing setup going that reminded me.
Love it Mrs. W! We are in process of tending our first garden. This is great. Seems like you're much more at ease filming on your own. More please!
Nice video Mrs. W and great looking garden. I am sorry to read in the comments that the gophers are out smarting Mr. Wranglerstar maybe he can build a better gopher trap😄
Glad to see "The Mrs." back at it again. 🙂
thumbs up
Good video !!  Nice to see more of Mrs. W sometimes. 🙂
Thank you ma'am
I love your channel videos both of you have so much information to share its almost to much. One things I have to complain about is that when I watch any of your videos I have to watch them two or three times to take notes lol. Keep up being awesome and thank you all for sharing so much I truly think that human nature is way more on the nurture side and not confrontational. Stay safe and happy spring!Â
Glad to see you back Mrs. W! Love your videos on gardening and also the ones you did about canning as I'm a big fan of jam and the likes! 🙂
I like your green house
A fine video Mrs. Wranglerstar. Its just as good as Mr. Wranglerstar's!
Planting more garlic around other plants may help keep the gophers at bay.
Here's an interesting page: http://www.gemplers.com/product/151286/Mole-Gopher-Garlic-Repellents
If you don't have a windscreen for your microphone, maybe you can find an old sock to protect it with. A powder puff or some foam from an old nerf toy may work as well.
cool
cool keep it up
very cool just love everything you guys do..
I like the idea of putting your seed packet covers in the photo album. Â It will make them easy to access should one want to see what variety was planted in prior seasons.Â
On this video I heard you mention the Sabbath starting at sundown – are you guys Seventh Day Adventists?
God blessÂ
01:39 look a wasp is stuck in that plastic bag  😛
Good job Mrs. Star
Awesome, good job on the video.
It's nice to see some gardening on the channel 🙂 as far as your compost is concerned, you should get Cody to build you a big 1/4 inch mesh shaker screen so you can process that compost easier. Also, be careful what you plant with the asparagus as they do not like their roots disturbed. I am going to be building a perennials box which will consist of strawberries, rhubarb and asparagus because it will be a great no maintenance addition I can take advantage of every year! 🙂
I forgot to ask… What mountain is that?
Love the idea of using a photo album to organize your seeds
I have seen plenty of ingenuity on the homestead and I think I have found something that you might consider adding to Cody's list. It will seriously speed up you compost sifting and supports the "Smarter not Harder" motto. Great videos by the way!

Washed your hands of this one, eh Wranglerstar?
;o)
Ask Cody to make a tractor from his junk-pile, just like the A-team would do.
Enjoyed your video Mrs. W., and that's a pretty snazzy green hat!
I love your videos guys. But where did the name wranglerstar come from? Do you have livestock?
