  1. Good riddance to the burning bushes. They are so invasive. I’m always cutting our burning bushes from our woods because of our neighbors’s bushes. Plenty of wonderful native opportunities with beautiful red fall foliage but also year round eco system benefits. Your really making great progress. Enjoy the journey.

  2. Soooo glad you explained about mulch volcanoes. People see the volcanoes and imitate them. Rodents can wreck havoc on the trunk when the mulch is against them.

  3. I so enjoy your videos. You have made an amazing amount of progress transforming a vacant yard. If you win the lottery, don't desert us!

  4. 24:50 hi love what you have done so far In the big garden you have made some big money rocks would look good and help shelter your new trees.

  5. The tree water bags are a brilliant idea! Love that they are slow release. We’ve never seen them before but will be looking into getting some. Thanks for showing them. 😃

We do hope you win the lottery, but please keep doing you channel, we love it! 🥰

We know what you mean with patience. Our human is exactly the same. 🤣

  6. I was wondering if you can grow white lace cap viburnums in your area?
I have found that white plants really set off all the other colours in the garden.
Have you thought of anything, besides white hydrangeas???
Looking great…weigelias are hardy perenials, that never fail.
    Jo.😊
Love the expression "dead bodies of their ancestors"……as mulch…..very funny.
A tree planted driveway, is called an avenue…I think an avenue, would be so fitting and grand.

  7. I just love your videos and hearing you talk.
I moved to Warren County from FloraBama many years ago and it is not the same
    trying to garden.
    Keep it up

  8. Thanks for talking this through with us.😊 I think most of us are impatient gardeners. I am currently short on time, money, and energy—and help! I always remind myself that I love and enjoy gardening. I need to appreciate the whole process more, not just the end result of a “finished,” mature bed and space.💖

  9. The tItle of today’s video cracked me up. As always, your unending energy and vision for the future are truly inspirational. Your beautiful property just keeps getting even more beautiful. After a winter of dreaming, I can’t wait to see what comes next!

  10. Thank you Mathew . Keep reminding yourself that Rome was not built in a day. You need to enjoy the process of your creation. Take care and don’t work so hard, there will be plenty of time come spring to work on your creations.🎃🍁🍂💚🙃

  11. Awe that wasn’t nice. I would be sad not to watch your garden grow if you won the lottery.🎃🍁🍂💚🙃

  12. Go to a farm store or Home Depot and get tile tubing, farmers use it in fields for drainage, should be cheaper

  13. I so agree, the want to list far exceeds the need to list as time and money factor in! But what you have accomplished in this short time is amazing!

  14. Do not stress! I have many things on a list in my head, priorities on top always seem to be superceded by something at the bottom.

  15. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🥰🤣 the cack I cackled when you said the dead bodies of their ancestors. Now that was some funny shhhh.

  16. Garden is looking good. I used the tree bags last year and loved them. I didn't remember to bring them in come winter. In the spring a slew of earwings had wintered over and bred!

  17. Hi Matthew! I love the title of the video, and then your explanation. It made me chuckle. The view of your property is beautiful! I'm so happy for you guys. When you plant the trees along your driveway, will you be able to plant on both sides, or is the cornfield too close? I agree, those burning bushes need to go. It may be a blessing that the geothermal guys ran over the one. I understand you wanting to get everything done, but hope you can take the time to sit outside and use your very creative mind to design the areas you want to develop first. You have so many beautiful areas to add your special touch to. Yes, I think you need to get the edger you want right away. You deserve it, and like you said, it will make it so much easier and faster. It sounds like you may have a lot of edging to do all over your property. Thank you so much for sharing!

  18. Great job👍🇨🇦 Get your edger. Also love the idea of trees along the driveway and veggie garden.🤗 Good luck with the lottery.

  19. We moved to a new home and ive been landscaping because it was a blank slate in the sense that a lot of things were dead and needed removed or ridiculously overgrown to the point of needing to start over. Everyone says…whay would you do if you ever move again after putting in all that hard work? Well, id do it all again, isn't that the fun of it? I do it because i love it, its not a chore to me❤

  20. I used to live in Toledo, and azaleas and rhodos grow there no problem. I live in columbus now and i am successful growing azaleas near the house, but with a lot of work. First, i dig a wide hole twice the height of the pot, then a smaller hole in the middle that i make at least 1 ft deep. I fill this hole with stone and slope the large one to it so water drains to it. I put landscape cloth over the stones. I back fill with a combination of 1/4 original soil, peat moss, small bits pine bark, organic soil and compost and then plant. I feed with Azalea Espoma fertilizer and use iron to combat chlorosis. Spring blooming is glorious!

  21. Happy Saturday Matthew! I have loved watching you transform this beautiful space!!! Hope you take a minute to cheer on the Tide today!! Roll Tide, beat that ugly orange team!! 😂😂❤❤
