That last tree sure is a Hidden beauty in chaos,. Thx for sharing Peter😊
Where to start creating a bonsai from such material would scare the life out of me. Where to start? It just goes to show that the old saying "there is no substitute for experience" is true. I think it would take me longer in years to recognise what and where to cut than the age of the tree. It would be nice to see, if possible, the outcome of turning one of these trees into an actual potted up bonsai tree. Perhaps a future video for next year? Great video as usual Peter.
You are very skilled. Your nursery and garden are beautiful. 🪴🌲🌱
Timmbeeerrr!!! 😊👍
It's good seeing you embrace the mini chainsaw as doing all that with loppers and a saw could have taken longer and used a lot more energy
The nursery looks beautiful this time of year
Great video Peter, I am looking forward to the follow up video for the dig, repot and style this fall. Also when you mentioned the juniper starting to root, but failing for the bridge you made, (10:30) is there any way to invigorate the roots to grow after you open an air layering and you see that the roots are just bubbling at the cut?
😬👍👌👌🙂
I have followed your videos for long enough that I should have known better; nevertheless, about 15 minutes into this one, I began to wonder whether you had lost your mind. Yes, you have a fascinating trunk, but how will this ever become a bonsai? But then you suggested it may become a garden tree, so perhaps that is where you are going, after all. I will be curious to see how this turns out!
Peter, the most important thing I have learned from you is that less is more.
Hi I need 6ft tree for my bird aviary. To give them natural environment. How much will be.
Regards
Thanks for all your video!!!! Any chance to do more videos about big tree's (Niwaki)
Thanks!!!!
Great video, loved it. Keep up the good work!
how can i still be impressed after watching 10000 videos of herons…the sheer abundance on the nursery is crazy! One day…Peter… one day i will have such a nursery!
I could not live with those planes. Peter Chan is very Zen regarding them.
Bring your students in your tree garden. Let them do their outside bonsai work. You would benifit greatly. And, perhaps, realize your work faster.
What are the bag wraps for
Excellent!
🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹 thanks Peter
I love the big trees.
Speaking from the stands point of a designer I always had to have a vision of what be the final design solution will looks like, just like how you think. In the old days we called it imagination, it is based on your experience.
Learn something new today, you plant the tree in a pot to thicken the trunk as the tree grows and mature, very interesting.
Thank you Peter and have a blessed weekend.
