  1. I put the little actimel or benecol bottles over the ends of canes at the allotment to save poking my eyes out! Great video Emma

  2. This was an amazing video for me as a complete beginner. Thanks you Emma. Have subscribed ❤

  3. Emma, I use that compost with my seeds this year and it worked well but I did sieve it first due to a lot of large woody bits in it 😊

  4. Hey Emma,
Fabulous vlog I really enjoyed watching,
Regarding the celery, I love celery and for each seed you sow you'll get just the one celery plant ,like you get in supermarkets,
Thanks for toure advice on everything,
    Grateful for you're vlogs
    Have a great day xx

  5. Your explanation on seed compost that seeds need no nutrients to flourish and will not flourish if they get all they want .Does that mean all the seeds you planted in multi purpose compost won’t flourish as most have at least 60 days of feed added to encourage plants to grow. I sow seeds and pot on into multi purpose compost but I do sieve it for sowing seeds ,and have used it for many years, I believe seed compost is unnecessary and an expensive gimmick. Will need boggy to wet ground for your Celary to flourish will get tough and stringy if not. But you do cheer me up and make me smile.

  6. My Crystal Apple seeds were sown about four weeks ago and only just yesterday I noticed they’ve germinated.

  7. Good luck with the climbing beans! You’ll have no regrets there, I love growing them and they are good for freezing too ☺️

  8. Miracle Gro has been around for ages, used it many times, it’s fine. My favourite compost is Jack’s Magic, great stuff!

  9. Emma a little tip, always handle seedlings and plants by the seed leaves. That way if you break a seed leaf then the process of photosynthesis isn't affected. If you were to break off your only true leaves the plant would likely be a gonna

  10. Stick your finger in like it's an apple pie 🥧
Could be an American Pie reference 😂

  11. we are growing red celery this year, i will never forget that when i found this seed it stated that its an english celery and no english garden was without it, which made me laugh as ive never seen it in the uk.

  12. New to this channel and gardening, thanks for explaining things like pricking out, there’s lots of gardening terms that people just think you know but I don’t!!

  13. I didn’t like the miracle grow compost. Also it was SO lumpy with rubbish bits. It didn’t hold any water either . Hope you get on better than I did. X

  14. I really appreciate you showing the basics emma as my head has been in a spin with my new allotment. Thank you ❤

  15. Climbing beans are best sown in toilet roll inners, since then you can plant the growing plant straight into the ground without disturbing the delicate roots. The cardboard roll will breakdown in the soil.

  16. Lovely peaceful video. D you have any advice for growing honeysuckle from cuttings? My just die. But the verbena I chopped off and stuck in the compost is rooting ❤

  17. what a fab channel i'm a novice gardener and you are explaining things so well it makes me excited to garden more!

  18. I’ve found much better germination with proper seed compost Emma. Then transplant on. As someone else said plant beans into cardboard toilet rolls, I keep them in an empty cardboard shoebox with foil on bottom, then transplant without disturbing the roots. Works very well, also do this for my sweet peas.

  19. Just got the deed to my allotment. First time gardening. Going to try completely nodig. Videos like this are really useful because may seems like a really awkward month to start.

  20. Love watching your videos, you're at 100k followers on Instagram, congratulations 😘🎉🙌
