Cordelia de Castellane’s Flourishing Flower-Filled French & English Garden | Notes From a Garden



Dior Maison & Baby Dior Artistic Director Cordelia de Castellane lives a life full of flowers: ‘I always say that a house without flowers has no soul.’ Designing collections of exquisite homeware and childrenswear which are often inspired by flowers — and by her muse, Christian Dior — it should come of no surprise that Cordelia’s weekend escape is a living and breathing work of art.

As we tour Cordelia de Castellane’s dream garden, it’s easy to notice the parallels between her formative years and her botanical paradise: ‘I grew up spending half of my time in nature as I was in Switzerland, so for me it was back to my roots to be back in the countryside on the weekends.’ Come along as we explore Cordelia de Castellane’s blooming French & English garden in the north of France.

    This is, of course, a beautiful garden that everyone would like to have. However, it also looks as if 20 gardeners were busy with it before the video shoot. Every flowerpot is new and has no water edge, there are no weeds, etc.

    I love it! Everything about the gardens from the simplicity to the more restricted to the wild. I have the same philosophy as Cordelia (what a beautiful name) and would love to see more of this garden and home. Just a wonderful episode and would love to see more and more in each season!
