Welcome Gardeners! I went on a little trip this weekend to the Blue Ridge mountains in Virginia! Why? To see more houseplants than I’ve ever seen in my life! 🙌🏼🪴 I had the incredible opportunity to tour The Plant Company and Proven Winners leafjoy production greenhouse. These plants are gorgeous and the amount of time, energy and care that has gone into making these plants the best of the best is incredible! 🪴 Enjoy!

I'm one of those "black thumb" house plant owners. My house is set at 65 degrees year round with no air conditioning in summer. My valiant plants have put up an extraordinary battle to survive, but end up buried in landfill.
These new plants are exciting. The hydro growing plants are intriguing because the water is consistent, so no under-over water problems.

So fun!! There was a plant early in your video that I believe is a philodendron and it had an open space in the center of the leaves. Do you know the name of that one?
Oh my. What a great opportunity for you (and for us). I want them all! The Cling On ficus is amazing. Being a houseplant addict from the 70's, this plant was always a disappointment. You have to get one for your Mom!

I saw Proven Winners Leaf Joy collection on Garden Answers tour of her parents garden center and they are so cool looking.
Ooh!! The Ficus Benjamina that doesn’t drop leaves!! I purchased the original variety at Andrews Seed as a souvenir and it eventually lost all of its leaves and I was so bummed. Glad it may not have been my fault. 😆 What a fun trip, Janey! Thanks for sharing and I really hope to see Leaf Joy in my area soon!

Glad that you enjoyed our lovely state. I live in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains. We get all the beautiful seasons here. The peak autumn leaf changes haven't started yet, but a drive along the Blue Ridge Parkway is a must.
