  1. U guys are a smart family in this wild economic disaster we are experiencing … keep on doing what you’re doing. If the Aldi near me had an open dumpster I would do it too. (Yes, I did look) lol

  2. I worked at a Grocery Chain in VA and threw away in the deli full chubs of deli meat Ham Turkey Roast beef Pastrami Corn beef and many other Chubs everyday but they went into the big garbage compactor and here I am starving to death what a crack of shame this country is!!! Thank you Frugal Mommy's day have fun be light and Airy

  3. I worked at a grocery for 21 yrs. The laws prevent us from putting certain things back on the shelf. We had to follow the law.

  4. The major supermarkets over here in UK will reduce "on the date" items 3 or 4 times during the day till they cost 25% or less of original price. I like shopping these products especially if i don't have my meal prepared for the evening. It's so much cheaper, and you can usually get things you wouldn't normally buy at full price. ❤ from UK 🇬🇧

  5. I am used to checking milk PAST it's best buy date… but my mom and my sister both bought milk from the brand new Aldi that opened up nearby. Two days before it's "best buy" date I take a swig from a small glass and BLAH… spoiled! It was so foul and acidic I burnt my tongue! I was a bit congested and hadn't taken a sniff I guess. Now, Aldi, that was cruel…it must have been the whole lot as I tasted Mom's and my sister had thrown hers out the same day…her carton was a little expanded after not using it, where I just didn't notice that at mom's.

So yeah, duh, now I have to check all milk no matter the date cause that was awful. You might think duh you should always use your senses and ignore the date but for 40 years if it was before the date, no problem…and I always use milk up well before the date just naturally so rarely question milk anyway. Boo to the new Aldi for that one, Kroger gets my milk buys for a while for sure. We didn't return it to Aldi as after burning my tongue we just purged it, but I bet they got a lot of notice & maybe a whole pallet had gone bad earlier than expected. Yucko. Am sure a one-off, I will try out the newish Aldi store soon, am sure, or maybe the dumpster instead.

  6. I support this video so so much ❤❤❤ Thank you for leading me to perfectly good food and saving me ridiculous amounts of money, which is in short supply ❤

  7. GREAT, GREAT VIDEO. Every one of these is absolutely true. I’ve even got hamburger at the store and when I opened it, it was bad. Smell test and sometimes the consistency is off. Use your brain, like you said. Thank you for bringing it to us and making my day with your presence. Really love your channel. It’s the best of all that’s out there. Love 💕 and Hugs. ❤❤❤

  8. Stores dump merch that is out of season and isn't selling and they need shelf space for something else.

  9. You are great frugal mummy I totally agree with with everything you said and if I could dumpster dive at my aldi in Britain I definitely would. Love your channel I never miss one sending love to you and yours bye xx

  10. You got Amy that’s about the size of all the waste we have I would also add it’s usually young adults first jobs not all are into it so they just get it done ❤️🇨🇦😜

  11. I m so proud of Dr Agoda for his good medication . l finally defeated hsv 1 and 2 completely after taking medication . Thank doc🙏……….

  12. YouTube doesn't always send notifications, even when you hit the bell. Sometimes I have had to search for you and then I get all the notifications. I don't know why. Maybe YouTube wants to show me new stuff, so some things get set aside. I'm sure it's all perfectly innocent.
    Great video. 👍

  13. In the Caribbean most of the reasons u gv will be taking out the bad ones and the rest goes on the shelf. It will b cleaned and placed to sell. Or banded together on a sale.

  14. I'm 63yrs old and if I was able to get in those dumpsters, don't think I'd be doing lol don't bother me any.

  15. Do people throw out home canned goods after so long? Nope they keep it for yrs, no expired date on those lol

  16. I worked at a grocery store for a long time. A lot of the food we threw away had to do with storage space. We only had one area to store donations until the volunteers from the donations centers came to pick them up. If that area filled up or the donation center missed a pick up we had to throw anything that wouldn’t fit in that area away. Also, donation center storage space was sometimes an issue. If they didn’t have much space left (usually fridge or freezer item constraints) they would take the more nutritious items and we would throw away what they couldn’t fit and weren’t meal items like ice cream or cookies. Another reason things would get thrown away is if the distribution center delivered the wrong item or delivered another store’s item to our store. If they we didn’t sell it we had to donate or throw it away. If we did sell it but had a lot of that item on the shelf already we would donate or throw out instead of adding to inventory so we wouldn’t take the loss of it not selling down the road.

  17. THANK YOU, FRUGAL MOMMY. GREAT TALK, GREAT INFORMATION AND I LOVE YOUR KITTY. BEAUTIFUL KITTY. ROCK ON AMY!! THANKS AND STAY SAFE AND HEALTHY ❤️ 🙏

  18. Great work Frugal Mom glad you put people’s minds to rest! Many people even in my family need to watch this! I hope it gets around. I will be sharing this ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️💜

  19. How many things that we buy missed a possible bad situation and were never recalled just in case. Probably TONS. And nothing. I have to many times bought supposed good food and it was not good well before the date and get furious just paid good money for bad food. And a pain and bother to take it back. More than I can count and expired or best buy I have never turned down unless it was gone bad. AND there is always possible human error entering number codes. So could even be not even a correct code. It happens with anything. Agree with all your thoughts. Hugs

  20. Excellently presented Amy. Thank you for taking the negative input and creating a solid informational presentation.

  21. Only one I didn't see you cover was Seasonal & Holiday…
Valentines day, Christmas, 4th of July.. Etc…
The holiday or season has ended. Products/candies/foods Still in date for years sometimes.
    Don't care… Toss It out!

Otherwise great video and very imformative

  22. I would grab all I could if our stores had dumpsters and not compactors…especially when they empty freezers full 😭 I curbside rescue all I can though.
