California Gardening: Hot Peppers – Growing Black Cobra Hot Peppers In Your Garden

In today’s episode we look at growing hot peppers in your garden. The Black Cobra Pepper, also known as goats weed pepper or Vietnamese Black Dragon Pepper or Devil’s Pepper or even Ot Hiem Pepper. It is a very hot pepper variety that is easy to grow and produces very hot peppers.

The heat of the Black Cobra pepper can be as high as 40,000 on the Scoville unit scale. It is extremely hot and is the hottest when its black and then turns into red.

This Black Cobra Hot Pepper can be easily grown in pots or containers or raised beds. It needs full sun and fertilizers to produce a lot of peppers. It grows vertically and produces an abundant amount of chilli peppers.
