I decided to take you guys out with me this morning on my early morning walk. Then I showed you how to make one of my boys’ favorite breakfasts. However, right as I was putting it on the table, my phone rang and I had a very, very exciting phone conversation.

Dutch Baby Pancakes (In a 10 inch Cast Iron Skillet)
2 T. Butter
3 eggs
1/2 C. Flour
1/2 C. Milk
1/4 C. Sugar
1/4 t. nutmeg
1 t. Vanilla extract
Additional tablespoon of butter, tablespoon of sugar and berries to top. Other good toppings are maple syrup, strawberries, blackberries, whipped cream.
Preheat oven to 425. Melt butter in the pan. Blend the rest of the ingredients in a blender until smooth. Pour into skillet with melted butter. Bake for 15 minutes or until nice and golden brown. Take out of over and dot with additional butter, sugar and berries if desired.
