Spending more money for so called premium container mixes doesn’t mean you get a better product for your containers. Many of the premium potting mixes, potting soils and garden soils have woody mulch like materials in them. You can make a better container mix using premium topsoil or just topsoil mixed with 50% peat moss. It is cheaper, retains water and can be amended with your choice of fertilizers.
