Awesome Bell Pepper Replacement

I have renamed this from “3-colors” to “Terzetto Bella”. The inital name was just for my memory with all the various breeding work I do. This is a breeding of mine to meet our specific purpose of a more productive alternative to the bell pepper. It’s various colors, thick walls, and increasing sweetness through the color range, are exceptional reasons to make this a variety I will pursue.

  1. I would love to test some of these seeds. We ran into the same issue with bell peppers and switched to Carmens for our bulk non-hot pepper. But I would like something a bit more productive, more compact, and thicker walled. Just like that.

  2. Greetings from the Ozarks. The Yellow Flavorburst f1 has been quite productive for us, getting about 30 per plant. On the other hand, king Arthur has produced only about eight per plant. It would be great to have a non-hybrid bell that produces as good as the Flavorburst. We do sometimes stuff bell peppes,, but the main advantage of large peppers is that when needing a large amount of sweet pepper, it is easier to pick, handle, and process a large pepper. In contrast to large peppers, we picked 1700 tobasco peppers from a single plant last year. It took a long time to pick and yielded less than a liter of mash. Sometimes we need an amount of thick walled sweet pepper less than a bell. In that case, a thick walled smaller pepper like you are breeding would have a niche. The albino bullnose is a smaller bell type, but the flavor is too mild.

  3. Brent: More great work! Major fan here. Looking forward to some time in the future when these seeds and your tomato seeds become available. David from Mobile
