Stopped for lunch & there was a tree with these hanging on it. I think it might be a husk cherry but I didn’t notice anything resembling a husk on any of the other…fruits? Can anyone identify this?

Looks more like an apple than a cherry cause of the bottom. Cherries are always smooth at the bottom while apples will have a calyx.
