I’ve grown Fortex snap beans a few times in the greenhouse. It’s an excellent pole bean. For this year, I decided to grow them in the garden. I used the same trellis that I had tomatoes on last year, and added mesh and string to give the beans something to climb up. I made a mistake when I ordered the mesh netting, but I was able to improvise and correct that mistake. The plants loaded up with beans and things turned out great. So if you’ve been considering growing pole beans, and trying to figure out how to set up a trellis, this method is very easy to do.
