If you freeze your flour…it can go past the expiration date!
👏🏻👏🏻😃
Have you checked out the day and night shades from companies like blinds galore? They have shades that filter in daytime light and then you flip them up and they switch to black out blinds. It is an all in one blinds and depending on how you pull it up or down let’s light gently filter in for the day or block it out at night. I am sure there are lots of companies that make and sell them, I am in Canada and Blinds Galore came up when I searched US companies that sold them. They are great. My sister has them in her home and we are ordering something similar for ours.
😊❤
I always have a table cloth on our table, makes me so happy.
In Australia we have a double blind option, which you can still soften with a curtain in front. It is a blockout blind and a sheer blind. I’ve used them in windows like yours and the size window you have. So much better then Venetian blinds. I clean my mothers house yearly and every window is a wooden Venetian blind that has to be taken outside, hung from washing line and wash with soap and water (a mixture of dust, salt water and pollution from the coalfields). Was a lovely video to watch. Thank you 🙏
Thanks for your videos and thanks for the links to your dresses. I know I asked before – they’re beautiful. I need to order some! 😊
We live in the desert. Dust is the bane of my existence. Since I have asthma, we really don’t have windows or doors open. I do use air purifiers with hepa filters in most rooms. I’m a fanatic about cleaning HVAC filters monthly, using vacuum with hepa filter…..it has been a game changer.
I can breathe easily inside.😁 clean or change your home’s filters often.
I wonder if a little extra elastic on a crib sheet would make a good piano over?
Realistic cleaning and home!
Also what a beautiful dress x
First time here and love it !! Do not forget to take time for your self and relax when the kids are not at home . have a nice day !!
Always love your videos love from Eugenie your friend xxx 🦋🌼🏡
Have you looked into Zebra blinds? They don't do a full b block but a nice filtered
Shannon, have you thought about honeycomb shades for your bedroom? I wonder if they would suit your needs.
HI Shannon,
I am a new subscribver. Loving your videos.
I am loving your dresses, you're wearing.
Can you buy them online?
Kind regards, Viola
My bedroom windows are infront of the house. I use window film from Amazon so people can't see me changing my clothes lol. But light still comes through. They have beautiful patterns
The dress you linked is discounted! Some patterns were as low as $21. Do they run true to size? I like how you aren't afraidt to try new ways to organize and have the household run more smoothly and if it doesn't work, you share that, too! I really enjoy your channel!
Just an idea…I attached small spice shelves (from Amazon) to the inside of a kitchen cabinet door for spices I use a lot. Very handy and easy to find. I attached the shelves to the cabinet door using Command strips.
❤
Have you tried the uv filter film on the window. It reflects away some of the light and heat from the sun.
Hi Shannon. Hope that you all had a nice vacation. Great inspiration video as usual. 😊
💖
No soliciting 😂😂😂😂
Love your videos! Your home is so cozy and immaculate. I’m getting ready to declutter our basement. My teenage son volunteered to help me. I’ve been dreading it for awhile. Then I saw your garage video and how you and your mom powered through a little at a time.
I use a tablecloth too; love to switch out during different holidays. 😊
You always rise my energy and get me inspired. Thank you Shannon!
Plantation shutters work great in our house.
You’re dusting the surfaces, but not dusting the OBJECT that's sitting on the surface. 🤪
I keep my flour in the freezer – no bugs and stays fresh!
I love how bright and fresh your home looks! Bravo on your design choices and how tidy you keep your home.
Hi Shannon,
For the window treatment, what about matte window stickers? You can pick whatever shape and color that suits you. From the basic frosted that covers all, patterned, even rainbow one that will filter sunrays into pretty rainbow light.
Btw you look lovely in that dressm so refreshing to see you in color! 😊
😊
I love your vintage kitchen….. Looks great
I just thought of those privacy, decorative (removable) window frosted peel and stick window film. (No curtains or binds needed)👍🏻
You're looking great Shannon and you do so great with your beautiful home, always motivating! Hope you had a wonderful trip!
What are your gardening edges made of?
I love your dresses! And they fit you so well!
I really want to thank you and your lovely Mum for the videos on “Swedish death cleaning”! It’s got me to start decluttering big time!
In Australia we hang our laundry outside .
Loved this! Late in watching but did whole house clean too! I love to organize, especially when it leads to practicality/ease of use, not so much in a fake cosmetic way (excess labeling like cricut machines kinda stress me out seeing how those are being used). I'm down to only two more small boxes of old school papers to go through. I am able to better see what is something to save and what is not significant <3 It has been fun reliving the elementary days even if for a bit bc it helps me appreciate the ages that the kids are now seeing how it has all been connected in such a blessed way… 😀
Feeling more centered after watching this, thank you
2 ideas….ive done both. Block windows let in light but diffused. People can not see in…..you cant see out. No window treatments needed.
The other thing is hiring a company to tint window. Again it cuts way back on brightness of light coming in. Also during day people can not see in window but you can see out. At night however when it is dark outside and lights are on inside….you need shades…..
Hope this helps.
Do you use any cleaning products when dusting?
