Ok…I can already see you and Monica in a barrel stomping grapes for the perfect Garden Answer wine. Come on, Laura, you know you want to!🍷
Did you rinse off your grapes before putting them in the pot?
Yum! Our favorite grape dessert is a dessert bowl of grapes (frozen if possible!) with a dollop of sour cream and a sprinkle of brown sugar 😊
Could you please give the link to the recipe you used for canning the grape juice? Thank you ❤️
1:46 I’m so excited about these grapes!! They look so yummy. What is the tree behind you? Looks like some of my lands after our Arizona summer. 🤗
Hi 👋 Laura
Have you ever thought about making Wine 🍷 Laura
Ohhh I KNOW that smell! My family grows Niagara’s (and concord, for Welch’s) on the Finger Lakes in NY. Just as harvest is meant to be, thank you for sharing with us!
Laura ,Can On !! I don't know about anyone else. i learn something New😊,😮 all time and enjoy it 🎉Thanks
Harvesting is so satisfying, it's like a therapeutic. Love watching your vlogs
Have you considered doing other fruit juices with this thing? Peach juice is super yummy.
I’m 57 and remember harvesting red grapes with my grandmother. We would then make jelly and juice with the grapes. Great memories! The steamer would have made things much easier for sure.
You need to get a freeze dryer you will be loving it because of all you can do with it the grapes you Picked could probably make Raisins and garlic you can make your own garlic powder . All of your spices you can dry do and flowers please try the flowers just to see if they freeze dry the way they went in it's worth it and fun for your kids would really be excited about it you and your family have a great day.
I enjoy seeing how you use your harvests, whether it is cooking or canning or enjoying right out of the garden. You have such a "can do" attitude and it is inspiring. Keep it coming and thanks for sharing your life with us.
I love the canning, juicing and wheat videos! Please continue doing them and let us know how bread flour turns out. It’s good to know where your food comes from. It wonderful to see you come out of your house and be able to feed your family with the fruits of your labor. Have these videos been popular? Will you continue them? I love your channel!
I’ve been canning grape juice for over 30 years with a steamer and usually mix concord and Niagara. There is no need to water bath, fill the bottles with juice right over the rim, so there’s no air in the bottle, then put the lid and ring on. Waiting until it get colder does make the juice sweeter. When opening a jar, pour it through a strainer because there will be some crystallization. Mix one quart of juice with one quart of water and add 1-2 tbs. of sugar if needed.
I have a steamer like this and it makes juicing crabapples, chokecherries or whatever else so easy!
I absolutely love your videos, they are so interesting!
You can take a potato masher and squeeze all the juice out. I've been using one of these juicers for years and we juice elderberries and grapes every year! No filtering or processing. We run it hot out of the juicer and seal immediately and all the jars seal everytime! so much fun, what a wonderful investment.
daughter watched this episode with me, her response was its doable….nodding i look at her, i ask her what is i ask, i could eat them all, i may feel pants after it but worth it!
Great job with grape harvest I can sell it. You do so much I really enjoy watching you.❤❤❤❤
Grape juice cocktails! 🍇🍹 🥂
Will you be using the grape leaves. I love making stuffed grape leaves… so good😊
Love seeing the grapes. My husband wants to plant some too!
So very cool!!
I have nephews aged 3, 5, 7, 9, 11, and 14, and it's so cute to hear Benjamin talk and think what phase he's in ☺️ You guys are doing great!
This was so much fun, I've never seen grapes processed. Maybe wine next time.
Thank you Laura for sharing your canning content! Love seeing how the garden can be food and joy
I love watching you can things. I didn’t know there was such a thing as the juicer thing you showed us, i’m very interested in it. I love going through your garden, I love seeing you plant, prune, and, etc. But the canning is just the icing on all that you show us the whole process from beginning to end from buying the plants, digging the whole fertilizing, planting, taking care of them, harvesting, then two canning. That’s really a treat for me.
Benjamin is so cute! Has he started school? Does he love it?
What was the name of those beautiful purple plants laura showed at the very end of the video, thanks!!
So neat, would the pot make apple juice?
Laura, those grapes look fantastic. Going to try grapes myself, hopefully next season. Did you buy the steamer especially for your grapes or did you have it?
What about making Ketchup with the leftover tomatoes? 🍅 🫙
I love seeing you canning. I just recently started some canning & enjoy seeing what you preserve. Your giving me some great ideas. Thank you!
Loving the extra cooking content! I too burnt myself out from canning because it was everything all at once (exhausting) and then some things just didn’t get used 💔. My mindset is shifting a bit now as I plan next years garden and harvest plans. Thank you.
I can almost smell the grape juice. My grandmother and mom used to make grape jelly and it smelled sooo good! I love that you involve your kids in the garden. I was a kindergarten teacher for many years and I loved planting with my students. Is Benjamin in kindergarten this year? ❤️
I wonder what the difference in making wine is? When would you ferment it? Would it just turn to wine eventually if you leave it in a can too long? 😂 Does anybody know?
You could give some away with flour for Christmas gifts.
Loving the canning videos 💖💖
My only criticism is that heat and plastic don't mix. I'd be waiting for the juice to go cold before putting it through PBA
It seems like you've removed your spray head end on your Dramm wands– why is that?
Love the concord grapes 🍇 I love the more sweeter flavor. 🍇💗
