This is an outstanding prepper channel!
The fact remains that if one doesn’t prepare and one knows God, if God seems fit He will protect them. It’s not as much about preparation as it is about relationship with your Maker and trust and gratitude in Him. I think it’s real important to maintain a focus on that Light and grow in understanding. Focus on the darkness and how to thwart it just leads to leaning on our own understanding and own ability.
Truth be told, no one knows how to truly prepare for the unknown. Sure, food, water, shelter….all important but now we see, as in Hawaii, even the best of planning can be laid waste in a blink of an eye.
There is no death, only transition. The best thing to prepare, is one’s heart and mind for that. Are we in a state where we’re ready to meet our Maker? There is where we find rest for our souls. That is what needs preparing, the soil of our hearts. Peace in Him and may we shelter under His Wing until He receives us again.

Two weeks ago we had a wild fire blew through and burned down 12,000 acres and over 250 homesteads. Ours was just a handful in the area that survived because God wrapped his arms around our place and I had cleared a 50' radius around our immediate cabin etc. However is burned up our 20 acres.
Re the chat comment you read aloud “watch out for volcanism”. I heard that … and it reminds me of a “space weather news” youtube website, which I only just discovered THIS week! Scary and very convincing magnetic field forecast stuff there, but perhaps worth investigating if you expect your family to live beyond the 2040’s …
And maybe might explain why they are trying to reduce population now: less competition later for even more limited resources. Homesteading off grid skills will still be important to know.

I just want to point out, in regards to the money aspect of the women's retreat, perhaps many cannot afford that amount of money right now at this time especially with the way things are in this economy (many are just trying to pay their bills). The tickets are not the only thing that requires money, it's also transportation and housing. Maybe next time you can offer discounts or other ways to allow more people to attend.
