Welcome Gardeners! I never thought I would say this… but I kind of… sort of…maybe a little bit… am actually LIKING the zig zag planters now! They are painted and planted up (with not enough plants, thank you Robbie!) and they are actually starting to take on a presence and when I look at them, I’m actually smiling! Who would’ve thought?! 🤔 Enjoy!

This has a great 60s vibe. With the long, low profile of the home, a straight line would be boring. A little bit of quirkiness adds character. Instead of emphasizing the zigzag with your plant placement, you have embraced it. You have a good eye!
Janey I keep thinking about your driveway and wonder if you would consider having to asphalt removed and install a pea gravel drive?

You may want to consider getting a Gorilla cart or 2. Now that you have a larger property, you will use it quite often.

I know you don’t like the zig-zag form of your planter. But when I first saw your house I thought it was one of the coolest features. Granted, it color updated it wonderfully, but it’s so modern. Love. Plus Robbie is such a nice guy and friend. You’re lucky to have each other.

I personally have loved the zig-zag planter from the moment I saw it! You are doing a great job of planting it up, but I wouldn't be so concerned about trying to hide the shape of it. It is definitely unique, and who doesn't love unique!

Verbena the tall one, phlomis, hardy salvia, dianthus, grandmas geraniums, guara, ohhhh add gaillardia for seed heads ♥️. Throw some delphiniums/larkspur in there for winter blooms in your cottage romance zig zag planter…spilling colorful miniature blooms that dance in the wind.
I said before that they would grow on you.. I think that when they are planted up and grow to maturity you will love them too!
