Today I give you a full tour of every vegetable and flower growing in my suburban garden. I begin the video sharing the size of my garden, which is 58×48. I have 23 beds that are 23 feet long and 3 feet wide. I heavily mulch my paths and use various techniques to keep the weeds out of my garden. I am gardening in zone 7a/b and I discuss why my zone is on the cusp and how I have to watch the weather closely when harvesting or I can lose crops to surprise frosts. We walk through the Spring garden where I show you my onions, herbs, sugar snap peas, cabbage, broccoli, lettuces, kales and potatoes. I share tips and tricks that I have learned over the last years that I have been learning to garden. I hope the joy that I share for gardening will inspire and encourage you to plant your own garden as well as encourage you to continue to spend time in your already established one.
As we walk through the summer garden, I explain the varieties I am growing and the amounts that I am growing. In the summer garden I show you my sweet potatoes, peppers, squash, zucchini, basil, tenderette beans, and three different varieties of corn. I discuss the various flowers and herbs I am using to companion plant. I hope you enjoy this look into my 2023 vegetable garden.

This was such a joy to watch!
A wonderful garden tour Bri! Thank you!
Beautiful garden for it first year. thanks to all your helpers. bigger and better next year
My 1 year old is always looking for garden snacks!
I cannot believe how gorgeous and abundant your garden is!!!!! For first year! And your placement, and cattle panel trellises! You have a great eye for the beauty of a garden. I'm so jealous. And so happy for you
Hey I have always grown really small kale, swiss chard, collards, cabbage, etc but I recently discovered that my soil was lacking nitrogen. I now use about a half cup soaked alfalfa pellets at the base of each plant, when I plant and about a month later and I have the biggest and best cabbage, kale, collards, swiss chard, etc. It is quite amazing and a lot cheaper then a lot of fertilizers I found for my kales
Your garden is so beautiful! It's 5 am. where I am, and I can't wait to get out to my garden this morning. Coffee first😂
They look like snow peas to me.
You could plant fall potatoes to get a few more.
I would flip the strawberry /flower be just because of the shadow (probably late or early but still) so that in springtime the soil is sunny and warmed up. Annual flowers care a little less about sun aspect.
I love your videos. Your voice is so calming. What kind of camera do you use? I want to start a youtube
Cucumbers and heat : i’ve read good things about the white cucumber, armenian cucumber. Doesn’t get bitter in the heat !
What type of tulsi do you grow? Whatever seeds I have must not be the same because mine have very little smell. I feel like I am missing out on something.
❤ U Lady. You are looking happier everyday.
Bri the transformation is amazing!!!!!
Miss the farm

Good job
You are a breath of fresh air🥰
And whatever plants you dont harvest will just go back into the ground as compost👌❤️❤️❤️
Bri, your garden is beautiful you have worked so hard. We are so proud of you and the kids
You are so right about never ending knowledge. I have been growing 10 years. I am still a novice. Also, mother nature always wins. Always. Weather is everything!! Just when you think you've mastered something, oh no you haven't learned it ALL. Gardening is a never ending novel!!
It is beautiful just like you Bri!
I so agree that having flowers on top of veggies to plant, makes things so much better. Flowers are so beautiful. I loved the tour. It's awesome.
I agree garden bring us joy 😊.
the broccoli and cabbage did better on the eastern side than the western because of the sun. it likes the morning sun and the afternoon sun is "stressful"
The holes in your eggplant are from flea beetles!
I grew my potatoes in five gallon food grade buckets. So far I've harvested 20 pounds.
Fabulous garden you are building! What a great tour to see the joy, appreciation, and love you have for the plants. And your wood thrush gave you a lovely soundtrack!
There is so much joy in your face and voice when you talk about your garden that it makes me happy as well.
⚘thx Bri
I just purchased 3 unusual herb plants, Im not sure if they sell them in US but Mushroom Plant, Herb leaves taste like mushroom, Cola Plant (great for cocktails smells like Cola bottle candy) and Olive Herb Plant great with Italian recipes, all are growing well only have one of each but so happy with them. And Im sure next year they will grow a-lot bigger, oh and I have found Garlic Kale Seeds which I have sown so cant wait to try that.
I was always told when the potato leave get big, beat them down with a stick, it makes the plants stronger and longer lasting after the harvest…senve your doing trials do that to a couple and see what happens ❤
The end if last summer the grass and weeds got the better if me and overtook the entire garden. Now in late winter I'm starting to prepare the garden for spring, and (except for the carpet of weed seeds which is giving me anxiety) im so greatful for the abundance of hay the grass and weeds are creating! As i weed each bed, the sun dries the weeds and turns it into hay that I am mulching back into the paths and beds. Hay was so crazy expensive this year, so im counting last years failure as this years win. ❤
Bri you are one of the most amazing women I know! love your videos and how you include your children! What a Great mom!
