  1. Hope you feel better I’ve been stung by 1 bee it wasn’t fun can’t imagine how a swarm feels not pleasant I’m sure and scary hope ya feel better your home is going to be beautiful 🌻🌷👍

  2. Congrats on your first garden at the new house. I think it will be very pretty. So sorry about the yellow jackets; nasty creatures. Hope you heal quickly.

  3. Thank God for the pool! Oh wasps are so crazy next to swimming pools though. Certain times of the day laying in the pool on a raft I got hit about 5-6 stings. I wasn’t even moving, just laying there on the water and bang. I’m assuming they were yellow jackets, such viscous creatures. Hornets are another country creature to be aware of by the pool too. I’m happy you’re okay because that could turn so badly with a nest. I’m so excited to see what you do with this property. 😊

  4. Couldn't help but to hand out some advice for a new wagon. You have a lot more ground to cover now and distance pulling the new cart will wear you down fast. Use your garden tractor with a hitch and get a husqvarna wagon. It has a trip to dump and a swivel hitch. You will love it. Check it out. Love your channel and can't watch the journey

  5. I’m loving you plant choices for your 1st bed makeover. Also when you showed how the chain rip out of the shrubs in the front yard beds didn’t work, always interesting to see what works and what doesn’t. I have enjoyed each new video from the new place. Hope your feeling better soon and get some good sleep.

  6. Love watching your progression at your new beautiful home! I have 3 very large Quick Fire Hydrangeas that I love that have grown into a privacy area in our back yard. I am looking for easy care flower garden in our front yard. Your knowledge of Hydrangeas is amazing so I would like to ask – we have an extremely sunny front yard and I would love to add Hydrangeas there but was not sure they would appreciate the sun all day. What do you think?

  7. I too got a couple of yellow jackets stings recently, yikes !!! Benadryl & anti itch cream for a few day 😮

  8. Excellent video! Loved you taking time to show current plant and then photo with blooms. I wrote most of them down, great selections I want to try in my garden 💚🌺🌸🌼

  9. Everything is looking beautiful in spite of your run-in with 🐝Hope you are feeling better. Thank you for the video!!

  10. That beautiful rose would look lovely on a trellis on the front brick wall.
Most roses don't mind a bit of shade.😊

  11. Garden is looking good! Nurse here… over the counter zyrtec and pepcid AC togther can help with ongoing itching and will not make you sleepy.

  12. Hi Matthew! 😊
Been following yr videos like 4ever and after viewing this one I wanted 2 comment and noticed I wasn't subscribed but on my TV Utube I am. What's up with that?
    Part two in next comment.

  13. Part two. Congrats on yr new property. Not sure if I said that on yr 1st intro of it 2 us. So looking 4ward 2 seeing all yr new gardens!
I have so many questions 4 you. But b4 I ask away…..so so sorry about yr wasp attack. Yr 4tunate u aren't allergic! At least in a serious way. But for that itching. You must have Plantain growing there around the wooded edge. Snip off some of the newest leaves and chew one in yr mouth. Mush it up and put on one of yr itchy spots.
That's 4 a quick fix I use 4 all my mosquito bites which works fast.
But what I like 2 do it chopped it up and put in a small jar and pour in Witch Hazel. You can use it in a few days but it's better if left longer than strain.
I also have on hand already mixed into a paste like consistency is Bentonite Clay by Redmond. I swear, it takes the itch away like in seconds on mosquito bites and takes the swelling down soon after.
Now 4 one of my questions which I'm worried about U, yr partner and dogs .
That corn field by yr driveway, is it grown organically? If not, be careful when they spray. Don't let yr dogs near yr driveway 4 a few days after a spray. It can get on their feet.

  14. Oh bummer with the wasp! Sure hope you’re better soon. No fun! Your first garden is looking good! Can’t wait to see more!

  15. Hi Matthew! So sorry to hear that you were attacked by yellow jackets, and I hope you're doing better! They are very mean. I'm glad you had the pool to jump in! Congrats on getting your first bed finished! That's awesome! I like your choice of plants for that area and looking forward to watching it all fill in. The flower bed above it will be so pretty with the hydrangeas up there, and anything else you add. You may have already talked about it, but are you planning on having all raised beds in the area for your vegetable garden, and will you be using the same same raised beds you used at your other place? It's nice that your Dad is coming to help remove the trees. Things like that are so much easier when you have help. Seeing all of those plants in pots has everyone looking forward to where you put them. Thank you so much for sharing!

  16. Got to get someone to come remove the yellow jackets! Oh boy! Be safe! Blessings 💕🤗

  17. Yellow Jackets are like attack wasps. The first sting is their call for reinforcements and then the gang's all there getting popped multiple times. Unlike other bees, they can sting multiple times with ease. So sorry you got attacked. I actually ran a pushmower over a few years ago and it took seconds to sprint the 50 yards to my door and jump into the shower, clothes and all. Only 9 stings that time. That was miserable to deal with. Of course, my granny had to apply chewed tobacco and baking soda paste over my stings and a slug of bourbon for extra measure. That is so not a pleasant experience, the itching is relentless! Just be glad it was a small colony. Starting to look good around there. Baby steps as it comes together.
