The difference between Walmart and higher end greenhouses is largely the quality of the plant.
If you are buying a plant from Walmart, that plant did not receive a ton of time and attention. It was grown in order to produce a high quantity of sellable plants at a low price. It was not grown in order to look perfect. It might have elongated internodes, pest damage, yellowing of the leaves or more.
If you buy a plant from a higher end greenhouse, it was likely pampered. It was grown in order to produce a near perfect plant that is without disease or pests and has the best chance at survival after selling.
So both are very amazing options to have. You can either buy cheap and settle for a plant that maybe doesnβt look as nice. Or you can spend a few extra bucks and get something thatβll for sure look great and has a larger chance at success.
If you want a plant for your desk but youβre scared youβll kill it, go to Walmart. If you are buying a housewarming gift, go to a quality greenhouse
