    What a happy looking place. So very glad that you are able to live there with your family. Glad to hear about your daughter's surgery. Bless her heart. What a struggle for all of you. She is so very blessed to have great parents. I truly wish you all the best in life and health. As I am in poor health and limited in activities, when you said you spent that much time watering I gasped. It is hot here in L.A. county, I haven't hand watered for a few days and boy do I regret it. I enlarged a backyard bed earlier this year and the plants are needing more water than I expected even though we have sprinklers. All that said to ask you if you do. A pool sounds like fun but maybe sprinklers instead? It is relaxing as you said, though. You are healthy so maybe it doesn't matter. Anyway, glad you are enjoying your life. Be well.

    I too live in Virginia and know all about the heat and humidity.
    In your video, you showed your garden hose holder that your husband put up for you. I am looking for one like it. Where did you purchase it? Does it have a crank handle on it? And how large of a hose will it hold?

    Lovely. Water the roots, not the rocks and powdery mildew isn’t harmful. Try native plants. Get free advice from your local Extension Service Master Gardeners. Happy, healthy gardening.

    Just found you. Didn't know who Riley was but I am seeing comments and will pray for her. The "white mold" is called powdery mildew probably and a 3 in 1 product for fungus, critters and diseases may take care of that. Blessings…
