Gomphrina… the cilantro of the flower world?!?😂😂😂😂
Laura needs little white call ducks …
Your garden is beautiful! And amazing how much you have accomplished in just a few years! I am wondering why you would trim the junipers? It looks like they grow in the shape that you wanted. I loved seeing the fish!😊
Wonderful video to watch to enjoy my first cup of pumpkin spice coffee! (Yep I’m basic and I’m not ashamed!!) love the plants! Love the placement of the junipers! Laughed when Laura said it’s like you’ve been married to me for 16 years! 😂
Your beautiful property reminds me of our local arborium, just😊 lovely.
Hi Laura, are there sections of your garden that smells amazing, from all the plants and some areas that are overpowered by the smells? Or do you tend to choose most plants that don't have a lot of sent to them? I am loving the small little garden tours this week as you are planting. ❤
Beautiful juniper plants! 🙂
I removed northern sea oats from my garden (Maryland, zone 6b) because they were coming up everywhere, everywhere!! And, of course, you don't want to cut them back because the beautiful seed heads are why you plant them to begin with.
Is it hard to wait for areas to fill in?! I tend to want to plant everywhere and then things grow 🙂
🐝 wow! You might have a bee hive in your tree. I’m thinking, honey?
You seem to know about everything already. That’s why I love your videos. Are you a be keeper too?
So beautiful! Where does she live?! My soil does not look that nice! I don't know about you but I wouldn't want to mow and weed all that property, I can't even handle my .45 acre 😢
Love the teamwork. Really nice job of editing at minutes 6:42 to 6:52 where the music casually plays until we hear only the soft drum beat behind the sound of Aaron pouring Bio-tone. He finishes, and the music picks back up. Very well done! Looking forward to the sumac show this fall.
A little question for Aaron, do the tyre marks on the grass from the gator bug you? Or do they disappear when you now the grass?
The fish have gotten so big! Did you add more or are these the original guys?
How do you keep your gravel paths so weed free! Struggling here in PA! I don’t want to use chemicals. Help!
Good Morning Laura🌞Your gardens are looking so gorgeous! I can't believe how much you, Aaron, Bethany and Paul have accomplished just this year. Did sweet Benjamin start school this year? I love seeing the kiddos in your video's. Have a good day!
If you make a little wooden gong to knock on when you feed the fish, they will associate the sound with feeding and start coming to the surface to be fed. The kiddos will love it.
I was wondering if you would regret planting sumac. They’re beautiful but they can certainly take over an area. We destroyed all of ours here in NH.
So pretty 🤩 thank you so much 😊
Sea oats has taken over my Kansas garden……it’s horrible…..🥺🥺🥺
If you’re getting that much bee action in the juniper, most likely you have a hive. I would try and see if that’s the case and just make sure you steer clear of it.
Well, I’m complaining….Planted Northern Sea Oats 19 yrs ago and it has spread everywhere in my part shade front yard. Think of it as if it’s a running bamboo, stiff thick and sharp roots that are extremely hard, for me at least, to dig out. It’s got cool foliage, but it’s a terrible invasive grass that still pops up everywhere I don’t want them.
Everything looks so lovely enjoying your videos very much. Glad to see the fish, I was worried about them during those high temperature days, their getting used to you. 🎏
Absolutely love your garden and watching its progression over the years.
Several years ago you purchased 2 huge, wide metal arches you placed where the pond is now. Do you still have the arches and are there plans to use them?
Thank you for sharing your life, family and garden with us. Every video is inspiring and the perfect way to start the day.
If I recall, didn’t your mother’s Spartan Junipers along the rock wall of the pool get larger than expected? Not going to lie but I was sad that they had to be removed because they were so majestic but I understand as to why.
When you mentioned the pink gomphrena being "pretty looking plant but not good smelling," I immediately thought of my Back the the Fuschia salvia. Love the color & pollinator attraction, but can't stand handling them due to the smell! All 7 of them are getting donated next spring!
I love your gardens! Can’t wait to see the autumnal and winter colors and shapes! The pond is still my favorite area though. 😊❤️👍
Oh wow! They love the feeding, tnx laura
still love the videos after all these years
👍
Love the Juniper's. It's so fun to freely choose where to plant AND the room to plant. Northern Sea Oats reseeded everywhere I tried to get rid of it. But it is so beautiful, I am embracing it and dealing with it. I have one in a pot by my bamboo fence, as it looks like bamboo.
Hi Laura, this is totally off topic but I have a question about spaghetti squash. My plants were moderately productive. Most gave only 2 squash, a couple gave 3 or 4. Is there something I can do to make them more productive? I fertilized about every 2 weeks. Also, after I harvested them I noticed little shavings like sawdust coming out of them. I assume it's a squash borer of some kind. How can I keep the squash safe for storage? Also are they safe to eat if cooked? Thanks! PS You have made me start thinking about winter interest in my own garden!
Do you know what species/variety the giant, decades-old juniper is that’s growing next to your house? I’ve never seen one so massive!
I had sea oat grass, what a mistake. It took over an entire area and spread and could not kill it. I hope that is not the case for you . Good luck!
